About Me

Hi my name is Rosie, I am available for afterschool and weekend adhoc babysitting.

I am an enthusiastic individual and love to provide the best possible care for every family that I work with. I have a variety of work backgrounds in childcare as it’s something I’ve always been passionate about.
I love arts and crafts, as well as dance and fitness. I am very bubbly, friendly and easy going.

Extras to know:
I am a non-smoker
I hold a full UK clean driving license
I am First Aid trained
I am fully covid vaccinated

I have always been an 'old head' and responsibility and care comes naturally to me.
I love animals and have two small dogs.

My Experience

I have many years experience with children ranging from nannying, ESL teaching, private tutoring and babysitting.

I always like to build a good rapport with the families I care for.
Providing educational fun activities and assisting with homework.

Whether nannying or babysitting, I provide regular little updates during to parents, so throughout my care, they can relax knowing their children are in safe hands.
I am always happy to provide whatever level of care parents ask for, whether it be evening meal, bath and bedtimes, making sure a measure of homework is completed, movie nights, games, story time etc and that the house is tidy for your arrival home.

Experience Details:
During the Pandemic I gained my Bachelors Degree in teaching and worked as an ESL English Tutor and private English tutor for Early level-KS2. I absolutely loved working as an ESL Tutor and helping students to improve their English skills.

Previous to this,
I worked as a Private Nanny for 10 years.
Here are the different Nanny positions I have held, so you can get a real understanding of my level of experience.

October 2018-February 2021.

I cared for 3 beautiful girls between the ages of 3-7 ( although I began with them ages 11 months-5) here I took sole charge multiple days a week providing meals, educational activities, care duties, light house cleaning, school pick ups, fun days out, after school activities, evening babysits and when COVID hit, I even carried out some fun virtual activities via zoom for a time- Showing my adaptability! I had a fantastic relationship with the mum and dad and still keep in touch for adhoc babysitting. This shows my commitment to the roles I take on and the great privilege it is to help care for and teach other's children.

2013-2018

I Nannied for a family with girls aged 5-7 although I began when the youngest was 8 months. I have such a good bond with the family and here, I have carried out a variety of educational activities and visits, I regularly took the girls to clubs and previously playgroups, assisting with homework in both EYFS and Key Stage Levels.

I have enjoyed helping them in achieving their milestones ( walking, talking, potty training, writing, reading, getting dressed independently, good behaviour systems etc

Daily routine includes : breakfast, daytime and evening care role, including bath and bedtime routines.

I also carry out household duties such as washing, cooking and maintaining children bedrooms and playroom. I have worked especially with the younger child with her speech and ensured a variety of social interactions to encourage both one to one and child lead activities.

During 2016/17 I held a position for 9 months where I cared for beautiful twin baby girls and their 4 year old brother. It was a fantastic experience, double the fun! during the daytime I was sole charge of the twins arranging a variety of arts and crafts as well as visits to regular playgroups that I would take them to. Then after-school pick ups and homework for the older child and child led choice activities and evening routine.

Here, I implemented some alternative behaviour systems to meet the parenting needs and individual needs of the children. I would also carry out regular meal preparation whilst the girls were moving onto solids etc. Lots of outdoor visits in this role as the family were very keen on outdoors, which i was happy to support and something I enjoy myself.

Before these my position in 2012-2013, I cared for three children, two boys and one girl ages 4, 2 and 10 months ( however when I first started the baby was from newborn)

This included carrying out educational activities, trips, cooking, light housekeeping, dealing with variety of illnesses, colic etc. and supporting the mum during maternity leave.

Bath times, Bedtime and setting up a good behaviour system. working with the parents during a big transition in their lives.

Previous to this I worked at : The Willows Day Nursery in Kings Norton, Bham

Here I was a fully qualified Early Years Educator, working predominantly in the preschool and after school care, however I often covered for others in the toddler and baby rooms. I also was the Creative leader, meaning I took lead in managing parent workshops including creative activities and resources. I really enjoyed the care and focus on giving children the best start in life and meeting their individual needs.

Here I also gained a lot of experience working with children with : Autism, Diabetes, Behavioural Issues.

Previous to this I worked at: Sandhills Day Nursery

This is where I started my Apprenticeship in Childcare. Gaining lots of experience with my chosen profession, caring for the children, children's files, lesson plans etc. I also gained life lessons in working with other members, communication skills and understanding equal opportunities etc.

Rosie has looked after our 3 daughters from our youngest being under one to our eldest being 7, regularly for 2years and then ad-hoc thereafter (& hopefully ongoing!) . Rosie is famous amongst our families, friends and colleagues as I couldn’t help going on about how lucky we were to have us working for us. She is unfailingly professional, mature and sensible but also great fun, loyal, kind and friendly. The children love her and we are always confident leaving them in her care, where she also goes the extra mile to help us out wherever she can. She put a lot of effort into planning activities and is always full of fun but also educational ideas. She offered to do zoom calls with the children during periods of lockdown and managed to keep them all engaged and entertained over the screen with games and songs. She is evidently a very bright girl and added educational aspects to her nanny role, such as teaching them to count and songs in several different languages! I was not at all surprised when she wished to bring more teaching/tutoring into her career and from what I have observed, I am confident that she will make an excellent teacher.
Ps she is a great cook and my husband and I always enjoyed having the leftovers for supper on our Rosie days!

Thank you so much Julia!
What kind sentiments, I absolutely love the girlies and will continue to provide care in every aspect I can. Especially the well requested Babysit nights( with popcorn, movie seats, nail varnish, pilates and arts and crafts to boot!)
See you soon and thank you again,

Rosie x

Rosie is a friendly, honest, caring person. She is brilliant with kids of all ages (mine are now almost 6 and 2.5).
She has lots of energy and the children enjoy playing with her. She is hardworking and somehow manages to get all the ‘jobs’ done efficiently (eg food/ baths, homework etc) . She’s a very helpful and a tidy person.
A friend to the whole family.
