About Me

Hi, my name is Julie and I've been a registered childminder since 2010. My house is in a residential area of Ealing, and I live with my husband, a daughter who is 20, and two sons, 18 and 16.

We have an open plan living, dining and kitchen space which is the main area the children use when here. We also have a small back garden where I can take the children to play, do some gardening and eat in good weather. We have put down astroturf which makes it usable all year round.

We are lucky to be close to Ealing's lovely parks, which we visit regularly, and there are lots of great local toddler groups, singing sessions and soft play that we often go along to. We also have day trips out to Kew Gardens and the local nature reserves in Blondin and Boston Manor Parks.

I follow the EYFS framework and track the children's progress in preparation for school. We take part in a variety of adult and child led activities, including baking, and arts and crafts. We often meet up with other childminders, and this is where friendships can be formed.

We live near two local schools; Little Ealing School and Mount Carmel, where I am able to pick up and collect from.

I am family-orientated and I ensure all children feel safe, confident, happy and loved in my care. I run a fun, energetic, caring and creative environment.

We also have a quiet front room which can be used as a calm place for the older children if they prefer to be quiet, read, or do homework.

I am available to work in school term time: Monday - Thursday between 7.15am and 5pm, but I can be flexible and change my days and times to suit Parent's needs.

I am able to offer funding for 9 month, 2, 3 and 4 years olds, and accept the government childcare scheme vouchers.

My daily rate starts at £90, which includes the following:

All weekly activities, toddler groups, singing sessions and craft sessions.

Day trips out

Wet wipes and nappy cream

All resources such as toys, arts and craft materials and baking ingredients

Birthday, Christmas and summer parties

Staff training

Various homemade gifts for parents for special events.

All parents will have access to my online system. They will be able to see what their child has been doing each day, and also be able to view any photos that I've taken. There is also a record of what they have eaten, their sleep times and nappy changes. I record each child's development, and they will be able to see what I have planned for their next steps.
