About Me
Hello, my name is Virginie, I am an Ofsted registered childminder( rating GOOD at each inspection) in hemel hd (HP3 9E area ) with level 3 diploma in childcare (and a level 4 diploma as nutritionist with distinction grade).
I have been working with children for more than 25 years(as a nanny , childminder and holiday camps and clubs )
I am french and have 2 bilingual children 20 and 25.
I have a valid first aid certificate, child protection certificate, and lots more certificates including special needs , food hygiene, DBS....
I live with my partner and our 2 children in a 3 bedroom house with a large garden, and also we are lucky to have an extra play room in the garden which children always love ( in a summer house ), plenty of toys and regularly attend play groups ,go to the local children center, go to parks ...I try to take the children out every day , we also enjoy doing craft at home with play dough , painting , art , sticking...gardening ...
We send lots of time playing in the garden .
I have a clean UK full driving licence.
I do my best to adapt the day to the child's routine and needs.
Our goals are to have a good time, have fun and learn while we play.
I only look after pre school children/ early years - No school drop off/ pick up

Virginie has been our son’s regular childminder for the last three years and we are so grateful to have found her. She creates a nurturing family environment in her beautiful home and garden for the children to grow. She takes them on outings to groups everyday and fosters a love of the outdoors.
Communication is clear and professional and we really valued her reliability. Her home was really a home from home for our son and we will miss both her and her family.

Virginie was our son’s Childminder for a year before he entered preschool. It was a home away from home for our little one, seeing his group of friends daily and Virginie’s warm and friendly family. Virginie’s house is the perfect environment for children to play, learn and develop, with a beautiful big garden and a playhouse at the bottom of it. She is active, taking children to play groups or on walks each morning, encouraging their independent play and physical activity. We are very grateful for the time our son had with Virginie!

During our daughters time with Virginie, she was entertained with a variety of activities, well cared for and looked after. Our daughter enjoyed being with Virginie and the other children in her care. She looked forward to going to Virginie’s each week and was always excited about what they would get up to: crafts, walks, trips to the park, role play, playing in the garden and playing with Daisy the rabbit.
Virginie really helped our daughter develop and learn new things.

Virginie looked after my now 3 year old daughter, from the age of 9 months until she started nursery and I can highly recommend her. Astrid still talks about her time with Virginie fondly and I know she misses the family and Daisy the rabbit!
During her time with Virginie, Astrid was really well cared for, always entertained and was really able to develop her social and communication skills. I really liked how Virginie had such a good understood of each child and their own needs and how she adapted her care to enable them to develop and grow at their own pace and to the fullest.
At my daughters first parents evening after joining Nursery, I was told that Astrid was a lovely, kind, well behaved and inquisitive little girl and I know a lot of this is down to the environment created by Virginie. Really couldn't ask for more!

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Virginie Desdevises as a childminder.
She watched my nearly 3-year-old child for over 2 years; 5 days a week for 5-6 hrs a day (or more if required).
Virginie was calm and kind to our little boy Julian and always ready to engage the children with creative art, play and other inspiring activities.
She is very nice person and Julian really enjoyed spending time with her and occasionally playing with her older children.
Virginie always followed our instructions including feeding, nap time etc. And I can truly confirm that all children in the group really respect her as an authority figure. They were following their routine and developing their skills (taking shoes, coats off etc) as well as interacting with other children during the ‘play group’ sessions. She really encouraged Julian to be independent during the ‘potty training’. Which was a great achievement for the whole family!😊
We were always calm and assured to leave Julian with Virginie. Especially that she keeps here qualification and first aid courses up to date.
We are very grateful Virginie for the last two years and defiantly we will keep in touch with her as our little boy is really missing her and her two children.

Virginie has exceeded every expectation I had for a childcare provider and myself and my daughter will greatly miss her and her family.
Since day one, the nurturing environment she provides has been a home-from-home and my daughter has always been extremely comfortable in her care. In fact, she adores Virginie’s entire family – including Daisy the rabbit! Her speech, vocabulary, numbers and communication skills have progressed amazingly and she has even picked up a few French phrases thanks to Virginie sharing her language – I will never forget how amazing it was to hear a two year old start counting her dolls in French! I feel she has greatly benefited from the routine that is set for her and from attending playgroup with the other children regularly. Virginie has continued to track her progress and always keeps me updated through her daily book which is lovely to read. She has also been very flexible and supportive when changes or extra days were needed.

My daughter has been going to Virginie for almost a year now and I can't recommend her highly enough. I've seen my daughters development blossom since being with Virginie and I am extremely happy with the care provided. Personally I work and study and Virginie is very supportive of any last minute help I need, at the same time she makes it so my daughter isn't effected and she doesn't feel out of routine. My daughter loves to go and play and enjoys being around the family also.

Our 3 year old has been with Virginie for 2 years now and has been very happy there. Virginie has been extremely flexible with supporting us over the past 2 years and has never let us down.
If you are looking for a friendly, professional & caring environment we could recommend Virginie enough.

Virginie looked after my daughter for 3 years, from 2010 till 2013. Grace loved been in her house and with her lovely family. Until now we still in touch and we occasionally ask her to babysit for us. While grace is with virginie we are sure that grace is loved, safe and well looked after. Till know grace is always exited when she knows she is going to see them. We all love her and her family,

Virginie has looked after my sons for me for many years now. I couldn't fault Virginies professionalism and care in any way. Every day is full of fun and adventure for the children. She is always willing to help out in an emergency. Even now ,as my children are getting older, if I need a place she is always willing to help. A real star, I highly recommend Virginie. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my boys.
