About Me
My name is Karen Scott and I'm an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 1999, i display my certificate on the wall so any new parent can see it..I live with my husband Clive we have been married since 1992. We have 3 children Mitchell (1994) Paul (1997) and Hollie (2002). We have 2 small dogs (Cavapoos). I decided to start childminding when my son was a year old he is 27 now and i have never looked back, My daughter is 22 and loves the job i do always someone around she can talk to and play with. I find it very rewarding and enjoy my job very much. I have a spacious playroom full of toys, dolls, cars, lego, building blocks we do craft and messy play and a seperate area for quiet times. A secure back garden, with my own separate kids area with outdoor toys & playhouse. The children get to grow their own plants. I collect from Beaver Green School.
My Experience
Having 3 children has given me lots of experience.
At the moment I care for upto 5 children in the early years. Coming various days and times.
We visit the playcentre and local library. We go on outings to the park, Badgers Hill, Rare Breeds to see the animals & beach in the summer months..
We visit the Bowling Alley and have so much fun.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 paediatric First Aid Certificate
I am CRB checked
OFSTED Registered, my inspection in Feb 2020 I received another GOOD.

I work from 7am til 6pm
Mon to fri
I am available through the summer holidays if anyone needs short term childcare.
I am available for short term contract if you need a couple of hours for an appointments or shopping.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
My fees start from £6.00 an hour.
Funding hours if eligible for 9 month to 2 yrs, & 3 to 4 yr olds
Max 8 hrs per day
Additional hours maybe available at my normal hourly rate

I don't charge if i'm ill or when i take my holidays usually in the school holidays.
I do charge if your child is of sick and when you take holidays.
I do not charge extra fees for being 15/30mins late sometimes with traffic it can't be helped.

Karen is an amazing Childminder when we moved to the area from Birmingham we found Karen and she looked after our daughter who took to her straight away. We have since had another child and our son also goes to Karen too. He was a difficult child to leave but Karen was amazing and he settled in well and now loves his time with Karen! We will very sadly be moving on soon and will all miss her so much!!
