About Me
Hello my names Lisa, iv been childminding since 2003, I am Ofstead registered Good.
I live in Romsey with my partner Mike and our two fantastic sons, who are aged 18 and 11 years. We have a very friendly cat who thinks she is one of the children.
In the past 17 and half years i have been blessed with being part of some amazing children and there families lives. working in partnership together helping each child grow as happy,confident individuals.
I offer a home from home warm,loving safe fun environment. giving children freedom of access to a range of toys and equipment.
A typical day!!!! we might attend local toddler group . or the park, leaf crunching,feeding ducks. home playing, reading stories,singing dancing,arts and crafts,baking or in the garden whizzing about on 3/4 wheels planting seeds finding mini beasts. the list is endless. i dont know who has more fun the children or myself.
My Experience
Being the youngest of 4.. And have quite a few nieces & nephews,From a teenager Having played a big part in there lives,having fun and babysitting Back in my 20,I worked as home care assistant for Dorset county council for 9 years. this involved caring for a mixed age of people in there own homes. I was very lucky to meet and work with some amazing families and to play a big part in the day to day care of their children. When I had my 1st son I decided to go into childminding. that was 17years ago and I absolutely love it.
Probably my best experience of all has to be bringing up my 2 sons aged 17 and 10 years old, they have certainly taught me a lot and I am very proud of the caring young men they have grown into. Working with children has to be one of the most rewarding jobs.

I am ofsted registered Good.
A member of the childminding network, also a credited childminding practitioner. I have an n,v,q,3 in childcare and development.

Lisa has been a childminder to our son Kori since he was 9 months old until he started school last week. We can honestly say that we could not have hoped for better care for Kori.
The environment that Lisa creates for the children in her care is exceptional. Not only are they cared for and listened to with kindness and patience, each day with Lisa is an opportunity for exploration, imaginative play, creativity and learning about the world around them.
Each time we dropped Kori at Lisa's house we had confidence that he would gain new experiences, learn new things and build strong relationships with the other children in Lisa's care and the world around him. I truly believe it has given him the early experiences in life that have given him the grounding and confidence to run into school truly ready and happy to start learning even more.
In addition to the early education and encouragement that Lisa has provided, she has also always offered a caring and compassionate ear, and has always got time to discuss any ongoing issues, concerns, or just a catch up on how life is going for Kori and the family in general. Lisa's regular updates and progress reports for Kori over the years have helped to provide exceptional all round care.
Kori has grown up in a dual language (English/Hungarian) household and Lisa and her family have always supported this by encouraging use of certain words (and even learning a few themselves!). Care was always taken to make sure Kori's use of both languages was respected and developed, and the creative work and drawing done in Lisa's care always represented both cultures equally, which was really important and special to us.
I would recommend Lisa as an exceptional childminder and cannot imagine having built the same bond and trust in Kori's care with anyone else.

Both of my boys went to Lisa from the age of two up to school age. Lisa is the perfect combination of loving parent and supportive teacher. The boys loved being at Lisa's, as every day was exciting with a mixture of creative play + learning, interacting with other kids and fun outings. Lisa took the boys to the New Forest, Hillier Gardens, soft play and the beach or stream, not to mention all the best playgrounds in the area.
Lisa encouraged my boys to learn and build their social skills by meeting other child minders and their kids, which has helped them when moving on to school. Motor skills, words, numbers, letters and writing were all made fun with Lisa's creative and supportive ways of teaching, which have helped the boys greatly.
I believe that using a child minder like Lisa, helps your child to develop quicker than going to a nursery as there is more one on one instruction and the home environment is familiar and more comforting to the child, so they feel relaxed quicker than in a large nursery with a greater number of people, which can be daunting for some kids.
In all, if we have a terrible accident and end up with a third child, they will be going to Lisa, which speaks volumes.

Lisa is a brilliant child minder she takes her role very seriously and gives great care to the children she looks after.
Our daughter quickly bonded with Lisa and grew very fond of her. She always looked forward to going to Lisa’s for fun days out and crafting activities.

Lisa has been looking after my son Alex for nearly three and a half years since he was six months old and during that time she has been an amazing childminder. She is such a kind, warm and caring person. From very early on, Alex settled in almost instantly. Making him so welcome into her home and has made Alex feel part of the family. It made me feel so at ease being a first time mum that he was in loving safe hands.
Lisa has helped hugely in Alex's development and growth from helping him sit up and crawl, with his first steps to his potty training.
Alex loves his time with Lisa and the other children she looks after. She always organising fun activities for the kids from messy play, crafts, learning through song and dance, trips to the local playground and days out to the woods.
Alex's social skills have developed immensely through the ability to play and engage with other children which has all been down to Lisa.
Lisa constantly provides me with updates to what Alex has been up to and his progress, as well as sending me regular photos.
I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a childminder.

Lisa has had our little boy since he was 6 months. Monty loves going, always excited to greet the cat and loves the forest adventures and Lisa's love of outdoors. As parents Lisa is always there to chat and ask advice and she is brilliant at it. Potty training has been a dream, with her guidance on timing being absolutely spot on. There is art, nature, numbers, letters and a loving no nonsense approach. She has been a lifesave over COVID! The idea of leaving Lisa for school is like leaving family and hopefully we can go back in holidays!! If you are lucky enough to get a space in this amazing household you are very lucky!!
