About Me
We are an active, happy, family with 2 working parents, children aged 14 and 12, a dog and 2 cats who are looking for someone to support us 2-3 days a week flexi. Roles include domestic duties, time with the kids and animals starting in February 2025. We would be open to considering the successful applicant bringing their child or dog along with them.
My Requirements
More details
We're looking for a cheery, reliably person with a can do attitude who can help support our family with household duties, our kids with their activities, our pets and generally help the cogs of a busy household go round.
The work responsibilities will include: household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing, dropping off and collecting our children from school, having fun with the kids, taking them to different clubs, supervising homework, providing tea, looking after the pets and other errands to support the household and represent 2 working parents when needed. A drivers licence and own car are essential.
Our children are 12 and 14. They're increasingly able to be independent with their day to day activities but still need support to be close at hand and have someone they can rely on and trust when we are at work. We also have a dog, 2 cats and 5 pet sheep so are looking for someone who is comfortable, although not necessarily experienced, with animals as the role will include walking the dog, checking the cats and sheep.
We can offer some flexibility in hours. We specifically need help from 3:30pm -6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week to collect the children from the school bus and help after school, but can offer flexibility around the other hours. We are looking for a minimum of 20 hours/week, maximum 30 hours/week depending on mutually agreed scope of roles and responsibilities. Our current employee works Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:50am to 6pm. They are leaving to provide more support to their grandchildren. If you are interested in the role with us but these hours don't exactly suit you please do get in touch as there may be a possibility that adjustments could be made.
We would consider the opportunity to bring your child along. Our children’s drop off and collection times could be compatible with being able to drop off and collect your child from local schools. We would also consider bringing a well behaved dog with you.
We are experienced employers and our previous employees would be happy to speak to you about the role and our family if this is helpful to you.
Formal qualifications are not required, experience would be preferential.
Rates of pay will consider previous experience, PAYE vs self employed etc. Range £15-20/hr.
