About Me
This is a loving home with a wide range of toys to help them meet the EYFS requirements, also activities such as arts & crafts, sensory and cooking.
I attend social groups such as toddler groups and other events within the community. I also work closely with other childminders for solicitation skills.
I enjoy taking the children on lovely outings such as walks to the park, woods, beach, Eden project, Heligan, Newquay Zoo, pine lodge. and many more locations. When enjoying our outings we like to meet up with other local childminders. I have a safe, enclosed, hard standing back garden with some outside toys and a gazebo to help provide shelter when needed. We also have opportunities to go to field where the children can play and see and feed animals, such as horses and pigs. We also have the opportunities to under take Forest school activities.
I am able to provide child care from birth and currently have space.
I provide funded spaces for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. I have also registered for Tax-Free Childcare and Sodexo vouchers. I'm willing to sign up to any voucher scheme to help parents fund childcare.
I am a member of Quality Childminding Cornwall group, Restormel Childminding and PACEY.
I have a closed Facebook group for parents, where you get to see the children's activities and much more I think parents would find interesting. The children all have their own online learning journeys with Tapestry.
My Experience
I was a childminders assistant for 2 years and I have been fully registered since January 2019. Additionally I have 3 years experience with learning difficulties such as autism, downs syndrome and challenging behaviour.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 in Childcare learning and develoment.
I hold Paediatric first aid certificate, food hygiene and level 3 safeguarding.
I attend other regular training such as cluster meetings within my council for updates and SENDco meetings.
I like to expand my knowledge and aways look for new training.
Other training I have Autism, Epilepsy, Healthy under 5s, Key sign. I have more training and certificates available at request.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I have a daily fee of £39 for 8 hours. For each hour after its £5. Term time only will be charged at an average rate.

Having previously had 3 children have a great experience of Early Years in a nursery setting I was apprehensive about using a childminder, but my situation meant I needed my fourth to go to one and I am also happy that Steph was that childminder! My little one has been with her for nearly 3 years and when he starts school he wants to go back to her in the holidays! Not only is Steph extremely knowledgeable of the EYFS development framework but she is also continually updating her knowledge. The most amazing thing for me (by way of keeping my mummy guilt at bay) and the thing loved most by my little one is that no one day is ever the same. From train rides to libraries, Royal Cornwall Show to Heligan… Steph does it all. As busy as she keeps the children, she also has a magical way of just knowing when a quieter day is needed. However even the quieter days spent at home involve continually developing the little ones in a relaxed and nurturing environment. From a practical perspective, I could not have been able to manage my busy life without Steph being so flexible and understanding. Her endless enthusiasm for nurturing and developing children is hard to put into words…she is simply the best!!
