Shaheda

A wonderful choice

My son was under 2 when he started with Shaheda. I was really happy with the way she made me feel comfortable to leave him whilst I worked. My son seems happy and even looks forward to being there with her. We have been using Shaheda's services now for almost 6 months and she is fantastic. Thank you.

Loving and Kind Childminder

Our son has been with Shaheda since March 2024. She provides a loving and caring environment and it really is like a home away from home. Our son loves his time with Shaheda and his friends there and settled very quickly. We really like that they go on outings most days - play group, playgrounds, the city farm and our son enjoys her tasty home cooked food. He's development has really progressed during his time with Shaheda. She's very reliable and consistent with no unplanned days off which has made returning to work so much easier. When we were looking for a childminder our key priority was to find someone who would make our son feel loved and we found that and so much more with Shaheda! We are very sad to moving away, Shaheda will be very missed!

A Loving Home from Home.

My daughter absolutely loves going to Shaheda's. We are so grateful for her place here where she is given so much love and has had the opportunity to form great friends. The children do various activities outside the home in the week e.g playgrounds, playgroup, museum and farm. Shaheda has boundless energy and enthusiasm. The set up of having an additional adult, Tima, means that there are a few kids and it's a great stepping stone for transitioning into a more formal setting as the kids are learning about being around others as well as being able to form great friends. My 3 year old has grown up with tight group that she loves. I am so thankful to Shaheda for making our family and work life easier, we have never needed to worry about our daughter who is happy and well looked after whilst we are at work. I can't recommend Shaheda enough. We will miss her when Raya moves on to school. Thank you Shaheda.

Loving and caring childminder

My daughter spent almost two years in Shaheda’s care. She started at almost one, settled in quickly, and has loved going since. Shaheda is caring, nurturing and affectionate while also having clear rules. My daughter has learnt so much and has a lot of confidence moving into the next stage of her life. I am often surprised by her showing off new things she has learnt! Shaheda has been such a big part of her life and we will miss her dearly.

Excellent Childminder in Bethnal Green

Our son has been with Shaheda for a few months now and we are extremely happy with the childminding she has provided. He was almost one when he started with Shaheda and had not been in childcare before, she was great with him, and with us. Our son has become very fond of Shaheda and really enjoys his time with her, so much that he is often sad when he has to leave!
Every day Shaheda arranges activities for the children and sends regular updates showing what they have been doing, such as arts and crafts, attending local museums and parks and joining a playgroup. She also has a chat with us at the end of the day about how he got on. Shaheda is very flexible and prepares food for the children which they love. Thanks for everything Shaheda!

Loving & affectionate relationships

Our daughter has been with Shaheda since she was 11 months old and up to 3 and a half years old when she went to nursery school. She spent 3 and later 4 full days at Shaheda’s until 6pm, so we know Shaheda very well. As a baby, our daughter settled and bonded with her very quickly, which was not happening at the nursery where we had tried before, so that was an important first positive sign for us. Over the following years, and through various ups and downs during Covid times, Shaheda looked after her with great attention, love and affection, and helped her learn new skills, language, songs, crafts, exercise, politeness, cleanliness and tidiness, independence and kindness in relating to others, often well above what we were teaching her. I love the physical affection and playfulness Shaheda has with young children. She takes the children out to various local parks and playgrounds every day unless the weather is extremely bad, so they experience a variety of outdoor activity, and learn quite early to walk relatively long distances in a group and to look after one another--while always being safe. Never any accidents other than the odd scraped knee. They also go to local playgroups and the local city farm. The children make friends and build good relationships with each other in this setting. Inside it is well organised. Always lovely to come in the morning and be greeted with heartfelt hugs from Shaheda and other little friends. In the evening Shaheda told us how the day went, but they do so many things in such a long day that we were frequently surprised by the new things that she had learnt. Our daughter greatly misses Shaheda and her friends now she is going to nursery school in a different neighbourhood. It really was like a little family away from family and, to be honest, I wish schools were like that, because close relationships count!

PS I cannot rate the food because we provided our own meals.

So lucky to have Shaheda

Colm has been with Shaheda since he was 10months, they do lots of activities and I've really seen an improvement in his behaviour and awareness of his surroundings ever since he started going to Shaheda.

He has lots of fun with the other kids in a safe and clean environment. Shaheda has lots of energy strength and is someone you can trust.

An exemplary and wonderful childminder

Shaheda is an amazing childminder, my daughter Alice is under Shaheda’s care from 6 months. She has adapted very well and loves Shaheda dearly. Shaheda is extremely well organised and has dedicated her home to the children. The environment is nurturing and full of opportunities for the children and our daughter to blossom there. She is extremely assured and confident with the children and has boundless energy and enthusiasm. I really appreciated that they go outside every day (unless it is pouring with rain). My daughter is always happy being dropped off with Shaheda and I know we are leaving her in a loving and fun environment where her individual needs are recognised and catered for. She is also a great support to us offering sound sensible advice about sleep, food, social interaction, etc.

I can not recommend her enough!

Amazing childminder !

Shahida is the best, she makes me feel very comfortable to leave my daughter with her since the very first time she was 2 and half years ago. I feel very content and reassured that my daughter is always happy an full of joy when I pick her up.

She provides a variety of food and snacks and gives enough notice for anual leave. I could not have asked for a professional loving childminder who always goes above and beyond to make sure all the children are happy and safe.

She was also a recommendation from my sister in law.

Loving and professional childminder

Shaheda looked after my daughter Connie from shortly before her first birthday until the end of Primary School, almost 10 years! During that time Shaheda became like an extension of our family. I saw her boys grow to be fantastic young men and Connie learned how to help look after the little ones.

All the children Shaheda minds are extremely well behaved and they absolutely love her. "Sheda" is among their first words. Shaheda is always pleased to see the children in her care arrive which makes it easy for the parent to leave!

Shaheda has so much experience and is very professional, flexible and responsive. She will tell you what the child has been doing and has a great routine of taking them out to groups, nap time, reading time, etc. She also takes a leadership role in the community, setting up groups and advising newer childminders.

Shaheda also cooks delicious food and always has healthy snacks to keep the children going.

I can't recommend Shaheda highly enough to any parent. We miss her terribly since leaving London but Connie now has her own mobile and can keep in touch with Shaheda, swapping texts!
