About Me
My name is Villy Tichkova and I am a British-Bulgarian. I have lived in the UK since 2003. I have been working as a nanny for the past 17 years whilst continuously studying a higher education of some sort. I find the combination enticing. I love the creativity and freedom in the time spend playing with the children and I find their way of learning inspiring.
I hold a bachelor degree in Psychology with The Open University. And I recently graduated with a Master in Creative Writing for Young People from Bath Spa university.
I love story making and creating. I encourage the children to use their imagination a d dream up their reality. I am cultured and I read a lot, I love books. Alongside, I love the outdoors, wellie boots and walks in the rain, libraries, museums and traveling.
I have decided to give some more time to my writing so I am only available for holidays, temporary nanny work in Bath, London and around the country.
My Experience
In 2006 I began work on the Isle of Wight and stayed for 6 years with the same family. The little boy was 6 months old and 18 months later his sister was born. They both grew up, and are now full time in school. We still meet on holidays and I visit them in their boarding school.
11 years ago I moved to Bath, where I nannied with two families. We did homeworks and I have looked after the house, cooked the children's dinners since they are babies and also prepared meals for the family. I love cooking and baking. And I have found that most of the children do too, it's a great way to teach them about food and getting involved with helping out. I love going out for a walk regardless of the weather.
I am a fun nanny( so I have been told by the kids:)
My Qualifications
Over the years I have been an Ofsted registered nanny and ave done all the necessary courses. I have a bachelor degree in psychology from the Open University and an MA in Creative Writing for Young People fro Bath Spa university.
My Availability
I am not available for long term many term. Mostly I am free ad hoc, available for helping out in holidays and family visits to London or Britain.

Villy is an incredible nanny and a much loved member of our family. We have three girls (currently 7,4 and 3). She has worked for us for nearly 18 months on a flexible basis - sometimes just a few hours a day, other times full days and evenings as well. She has even lived with us for short spells. She still works for us but less so now that the children are getting older.
Villy is in a league of her own when it comes to nannying. The children love her. She has a fantastic sense of fun and she is a great cook too. She has a way of understanding what is needed in any given situation and is very good at aligning with our values in terms of what we think is important in bringing up the children. She rides a scooter which - as far as our girls are concerned - makes her the coolest nanny ever - and she is incredibly accommodating when it comes to our weekly childcare needs which can change on very short notice. We moved to Bath nearly 18 months ago and if it hadn't been for Villy I am not sure I would have coped! She has been a total star in our lives.
