About Me
I have been childminding for over 20 years in Kent and have just moved to Ellington,Huntingdon.
My home provides a happy friendly family atmosphere with many toys and activities and a safe well equipped garden.
Most days I try and take the children out to do a variety of activities with other children including visits to parks,and toddler groups.
I usually only childmind a small number of children at any one time as I feel each child deserves individual attention.
I have 4 (grown up)children and 4 grandchildren , and currently look after my daughters( very friendly )dog , Rhubarb,during the day.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 20 years.
I am ofsted registered as "good" and all aspects measured were rated as "good" or "outstanding"
I have experience of childminding a wide range of children including newborns and special needs (autistic)

Up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate
NVQ 3 in children's care. learning and development
Advanced safeguarding certification
My Availability
I usually work between 8am and 6pm Monday to Fridays but can be flexible on hours based on individual needs.

Karen is been providing care for my daughter Meadow since she was 10 months old.
Meadow is now 28 months old and she loves going to Karen’s house. I have always felt comfortable leaving Meadow knowing she is in safe hands. Karen has contributed to each milestone in Meadow’s development, weaning, crawling, walking, talking etc. Karen takes Meadow out to play groups but also has lots of indoor/garden activities/play. Karen has always been flexible with days/hours when needed. I would recommend Karen to anyone looking for childcare.

Karen has been looking after my son Ernie for 2 years now and i cant recommend her highly enough! She is absolutely fantastic with my son who is usually very clingy at times. She takes him out on all of the days that he is with her and he is constantly learning new things when with Karen. He thoroughly enjoys his time with Karen.
Karen's home is wonderful, clean and safe. It is full of toys, activities and educational tools. Ernie loves the garden and has made some wonderful friends whilst at Karen's house!
Karen is very flexible with us when needed. I feel very at ease knowing my son is being cared for with Karen. I go to work with ease. I am going to be very upset in September when Ernie has to leave Karen's house and start reception.

Karen has been minding our Daughter Grace for around 18 months now, since she was 11 months old. We would highly recommend her.
Karen is extremely flexible, which fits with our working hours.
Grace settled in from the start and is now a confident, happy little girl. Her development has come on leaps and bounds during her time with Karen and the care and attention she receives is fantastic.
The whole family are magnificent with Grace, she genuinely loves each one of them and gets extremely excited on the way.
Each day is filled with varying activities and Grace always has a smile on her face at the end of each day.
We wouldn't change Karen, and the family, for the world.

Karen has been looking after my daughter Isabel for the last year. She was just under 12 months old when she started and she settled in straight away, she's now a very confident, happy little girl. Karen has always been able to give her the attention she needs and has been really flexible as I've often changed the hours at short notice. Her children are brilliant with Isabel and she always looks forward to seeing them.
I would reccommend Karen to anyone who is looking for a great environment where a child's individual needs are met. We are really pleased to have found her!!!!
