About Me

My name is Anneka, I am a qualified Maternity Nurse with extensive experience with breastfeeding, twins & special needs. I have also been running my own Respite Care business for Children on the Autistic spectrum & also special needs & additional needs for over 11 years now. I provide alternative respite care at my own home or the clients own home depending on individual needs. I travel all over the UK & worldwide to help out many families with various needs. I can stay at your home for a long weekend or 1 or 2 full weeks or few months at a time whilst the parents go away on business trips, to visit friends/attend social events Or go away abroad on holiday. I can also look after your pets along side your children rather than you booking them in to kennels or cattery if it helps the children's routine stay more regular. I can also accompany you on holiday if you prefer to take all your children with you,& I can assist with extra duties. I often help out many families with hospital stays, I either help out at their home or I look after their loved ones in hospital. Most families save up their funding hours to be able to book me for long blocks. They find this more beneficial for them to have a long period of respite care,to enable them to fully recharge their batteries or attend other family matters. I can provide this same service in my own home so that each individual is able to come & stay at my house & escape their own regular routine & instead have a fun personalised holiday in my home where I cook your favourite foods & take you out to your favourite activities no matter what or where they may be. If you know of a child/Adult on the Autistic spectrum or somebody with learning or physical disabilities that would benefit from respite care or a short break,then please contact me & we can see if my services are suitable for you:-) I am fully qualified to look after newborn babies,twins & siblings, also grand parents with dementia, Alzheimer's etc... I am also able to administer food & medication through PEG & JEJ. I am Also trained to deal with epilepsy,diabetics, brain injury & wheelchair users including hoists.
I like to keep my work ethic family orientated rather than institutionalised so that both the family & child/adult can feel relaxed & safe in the comfort of a loving & fun home or environment. I make a personal list for each person of likes/dislikes & dreams/aspirations of places to visit, see & do:-) Some of our journeys take us many hours away or close to home, it all depends on what each individual requests.
