About Me
Hi I am Dawn, an ofsted registered childminder since 2013. I am based in Woodrow South, Redditch.
I am a home from home setting, where we enjoy stories, playdough, painting, messy play, outdoor play and lots of free play. The children learn lots through play in the security of a smaller setting.
We love to visit local national trust gardens, local parks, soft play, toddler groups, the local library and explore the local area.
My Experience
Before becoming a Childminder I worked in a private nursery for 10 years, and experienced various roles working with children from 3mths to 8 yrs old.
In the past I have volunteered at a local school, where I worked in the nursery class and year 2 class.
My Qualifications
- BTEC Higher National Diploma in Early childhood studies (Level 5)
- Diploma in nursery nursing (NNEB)
- NVQ Level 3 in childcare.
- Paediatric first aid certificate (updated every 3 years)
- Safeguarding training (updated regularly)
- Pathway to Child minding registration certificate, which I have had to complete to be a home child carer.
I have attended various courses which certificates can be seen on request

I am closed bank holidays.
From September 2025, I have a space Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri.

Dawn is incredible with children! She is very kind, very thoughtful, soft spoken, and understanding. She manages to make everyone around her, children and adults alike completely at ease. Don't let her cool exterior fool you though, underneath is a ball of fun too! She is so great at coming up with incredibly fun and intellectually stimulating things for children to do. I honestly don't know how she does it all...natural talent I think! I am a bit jealous if I am honest. I would highly recommend her as a childminder or any other role working with children from very young and up.
