About Me
Hello. I am a happily married mother of a little girl who was 2 in July. I have recently qualified with a first class honours degree as a midwife. This was a very intensive degree therefore I have now decided to take a year off or two off to be at home with my daughter as a stay at home mum, before returning to midwifery. We have recently moved to Knebworth as my husband has just landed his dream job as a graphic designer in London. I am looking to see if anybody living near me would like some help with childcare. I would obviously be looking to have my little girl, Isla, with me. She is very sweet natured, very energetic, slightly bossy, healthy and very flexible to changes in routine (will sleep anywhere). We enjoy going to playgroups, the park, the library, soft play areas, farms. We love doing craft activities and baking. She loves being around other children of all ages which is why i feel it would be really beneficial for her if i were to help someone with childcare. We are healthy eaters and i love to cook...isla enjoys helping me with this.
My Experience
In view of my degree, I have lots of experience in caring for babies (as 50% of the 3 year full time degree was spent training as a midwife in a nhs hospital). I am particularly experienced and knowledgable about breastfeeding. I am passionate about facillitating healthy brain development in infants using attachment parenting methods such as baby wearing and prompt response to infant crying. I have no qualifications in terms of caring for toddlers and older children but lots of experience of caring for children in my family. I am very kind to children, treat them with respect and believe in modelling the behaviours that i want to instill.
My Qualifications
First class honours degree in midwifery.
Biology, psychology and sociology a-level (CBB)
11 gcse's (5 a's and 6b's)
My Availability
I am very flexible with hours, from occasional babysitting to a full time nannying position so please contact me if you are interested. I am available daytime, evenings and weekends.
