About Me
Availability: From 6th January 2025 Monday & Tuesday.
Then at full capacity until 2026.
Hi,
My name is Pauline, I'm 38 years old and live in Long Ashton. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have dedicated my education and career to helping children be healthy, stay safe, enjoy life, achieve and develop as well-rounded individuals. I have a distinction level qualification in childcare, with 24 years experience in various childcare roles; including over 16 years as a self-employed Childminder and Nanny & 13 years as a Mother.
I develop close and caring relationships with children in my care, but I also believe that professionalism and consistency are the foundation blocks of being a successful childminder. I have considerable experience in supporting young children in developing their creativity, literacy, numeracy, emotional, and social skills through constructive play, and I am happy to work with parents to implement developmental plans in all of these areas.
I live with my husband of 16 years and our son who is 13 years old; he is a bright and well-mannered young boy. We also have a cat (Vito) and a dog (Zorro); they’re used to children of all ages and are very gentle and well-behaved.
I can offer care for children aged from birth upwards from my lovely home in Long Ashton; 50metres from a big playground and next to some beautiful countryside and forests. I have a playroom to rival most toy shops. We like to spend most of our time on forest walks and exploring the nearby countryside.
- I drive a large SUV/ 4x4; a very safe car on a clean license - held for 16+ years without a single fault accident or conviction. I have modern rear-facing seats for up to 3 years old.
- I have a DBS check every year (previously known as CRB).
- I have a full Paediatric First Aid Course
- I can provide excellent professional and character references
- I have full insurance with public liability cover
- I am Ofsted registered with a rating of Good
I would welcome a chance to meet you and your child/ children and get to know more about them, you and how I could fit with your family and childcare needs.
Please message me if you have any other questions and I reply as soon as I can. I rarely reply during the day when working as don’t like to use my phone whilst caring for little ones.
I look forward to hearing from you : )

Pauline has been looking after our son for the last two years and I am happy to recommend her as a wonderful childminder. She consistently provides a safe, caring, and creative environment for our child. She has a natural ability to engage children in activities that are both fun and educational, and she provides daily updates/photos of our child which we love.
We’ve been impressed by the thoughtful and nurturing approach she brings to each day. It’s clear that Pauline genuinely cares about the children in her care, and we have always felt confident and reassured knowing our child is in good hands.
If you are looking for a childminder who truly goes above and beyond in fostering a caring, creative, and positive environment, we cannot recommend Pauline highly enough!

We were so lucky that Pauline had availability when we needed childcare! Our little boy Caleb had a fantastic year with her, with creative daily activities & excursions - I am sure this was a huge contributing factor to him becoming the inquisitive, outdoors loving little boy that he is! She was brilliant at communication & her playroom was spotless & a dream for little ones!

Pauline looked after our 2-year-old for several months while we were new to the area and settling in to our new jobs. She was genuinely amazing! She quickly established herself as an essential haven of security and consistency for our daughter during a very unsettled period. She helped her establish strong bonds with the other children through structured play, forest walks, messy play and personal development. She gave feedback every day at pickup and always made us feel completely confident about our daughter’s care. We can’t recommend her highly enough!

Our first child so additional nerves when dropping him off for the first time but Pauline put us at ease immediately.
Albie loved every moment spent with Pauline and nothing was too much trouble. She went above and beyond in providing advise and tips when Albie would play up at home.
Creative, loving, caring, fun and a super safe pair of hands. We could not recommend Pauline highly enough.

Pauline has provided the best childminding service our family could have hoped for. She is always professional, caring, calm and kind. Having breast-feed and been inseparable with my daughter, it was such a big thing to return to work and trust someone else with her care. Pauline took away all that worry. She was brilliantly supportive and patient (with me!) and my daughter took to her instantly, they are the best of friends.
They spend their days playing, learning and going for walks. There is a keen focus on learning & development, but if my daughter is teething they have cuddles and read books – my daughters favourite things! Pauline always recognises what she needs and adapts accordingly with the most upmost of care.
She has a wealth of experience and always offers good advice, if asked.
Pauline keeps me constantly updated and I love seeing the real time pictures of what they are getting up to each day. Her clean playroom is a great setting for learning and having fun, and her house is near nice footpaths and forests to play in. I highly recommend Pauline as a fantastic childminder.
