About Me
I am an Ofsted registered child minder, achieving 'Outstanding' on last four inspections. My daughter works alongside me as my assistant. We provide a warm, friendly home from home environment. I live with my husband and have three children ages 21, 26 and 30. We have a golden retriever called Milo.
We provide a wide range of activities for children taking into account their age and stage of development. We attend play groups and other sessions for children to mix and socialise with children of varying ages. We take the children on outings so they get out and about in the wider community.
We do school pick ups/drop offs at Bessacarr Primary school and nursery.
My Experience
I have been child minding for 24 years and look after children from birth to 11 years. I have lots of experience working with children of a variety of ages working with babies from 5 weeks to children who attend school up to secondary school.
My daughter (assistant) has previously worked in a private nursery after completing her BA in Early childhood studies at university.
My Qualifications
I am an Ofsted registered child minder - grade 'Outstanding'.
I have studied with the Open University and achieved my Early Years Foundation Degree.

As a first time mum, handing over my baby to Lisa and Rachel was such a positive experience. They are both so friendly and welcoming and seeing my little girl's huge smile when I drop her off and reaching out for cuddles is the best feeling as I know I am leaving her in the best hands.
The communication books are great because I always know what she's been up to in the day, what she's eaten (which always sounds delicious) or anything new that's happened. They're always out and about and having fun and I would 100% recommend and am so greatful for their love and care for my little girl.

What a wonderful setting for children of all ages. My partner and I knew instantly we wanted our daughter to be with Lisa and Rachael and they make an excellent team together. They individualise activities for each child. The fact that they work so amazingly together made the decision to work with them so easy. They are kind considerate, trustworthy and always keep me informed of how my daughter is progressing each day. They discuss what my daughter is doing at home to incorporate this at their setting and let me know what she’s been learning so I can continue at home to keep the transition smooth. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Having 2 childminders in one setting gave me the reassurance that there would always be one available if the other was detained or dealing with a situation, but I would happily have chosen either one of them on an individual basis too. My daughter still cries each morning when I leave her but Lisa and Rachael make it easy for me and we have the same routine, they message me to let me know she is fine within seconds and is happily playing. It’s a pleasure seeing my daughter have so much fun with them at playgroup, soft play and even just in their lovely garden setting. If you are looking for a warm welcoming child focused setting, this is it. Just read their Ofsted report and believe me when I say they work hard but make it look effortless xx

I instantly knew that I wanted my daughter to go to Lisa and my gut instinct was right. She’s settled in so well and absolutely loves going, her face lights up when she sees the red door and that’s all a parent wants for their child.. for them to be happy when you leave them. It’s a ‘home away from home’ environment which I love but my daughter gets to socialise with other children at the same time. Lisa provided us with a development folder with photos of what she’s been getting up to and it’s just great to see how she’s getting on and what activities they’ve been doing. I will be moving to a different area soon and I’m so upset as I found the best childminders for my daughter. Thank you so much Lisa and Rachel.

Our daughter has recently commenced attending with Lisa and Rachel and has really started to settle in and enjoy her time there . Lisa has been very supportive , thoughtful and accommodating . I get regular updates and pictures which provides me with lots of reassurance . They do lots of in house and external activities as well as attending community appropriate groups . They have appropriate age and learning related activities and resources .The home is lovely and clean and Lisa provides home cooked meals as required. Lisa and Rachel both have excellent training and skills as well as an excellent ofstead which again provides me with the reassurance that my daughter is in a safe and caring environment. I often think it’s the small things that count and they really do go above and beyond to make our daughters time a happy one and provide me with the reassurance that I need . I would highly recommend Lisa and Rachel as childminders .

This was our firstime using a childminder and we wanted a warm caring environment for our 4 year old son and someone who could help ease him into startting school.
We have certainly found this with Lisa, she has been amazing in putting us and our son at ease with the change in environment.
The children do lots of fun things and spend lots of time outdoors as well as inside. The house is lovely and welcoming with lots of different toys and books.
I would highly recommend Lisa.
