About Me
I studied Child Care, learning and Development as a chosen subject among others at GCSE level. I found what I learnt to be fascinating. While obtaining this qualification I had work experience in a nursery and immediately knew I wanted to work with children. I chose my A levels with this in mind, specialising in childrens language acquisition. Once I had compleated my A levels I started an apprenticeship at a local private nursery which I enjoyed but I always felt I could arrange more to help the children if I had more opportunity in different settings.
I decided to leave nursery to develop a career as a Private Nanny, but I still had a strong desire to continue studying. I took it upon myself to study within my own time with a distance learning course. I was able to progress my childcare and development qualifications within 10 months using the experience and observations from my new work setting.
I consider myself the type of character that a parent could rely on to not only to care for their child in a loving professional manner, but to guide the child in the right direction. I am a reliable and trust worthy person and look forward to being able to apply this in a productive way for your family.
My Experience
For the last 11 years I have been a sole charge nanny. I have worked with three family's now. With experience from new born to 7.
Within this role I am responsible for everyday care activities for the children which includes transport to and from school, after school activities and social events, their hygiene and food preparation but most importantly I provide age appropriate fun activities to stimulate their learning and development within a personalised environment were the children feel comfortable enough to express themselves and build social and emotional relationships.
