About Me

I have been an Ofsted Registered childminder for over 29 years, looking after children in my own home. My daughter works with me as my assistant. We look after children up to the age of 3.
We have experience of looking after children from the age of 6 weeks old. We understand how difficult it can be to leave your child with someone new, so work hard to make the process as easy as possible for you all.
We offer quality childcare in a home based setting with a strong emphasis on meeting the individual needs of the children in our care. We work closely with parents to ensure these needs are met. We provide a wide variety of activities including art & craft, dressing up, messy play, outdoor play, story time, singing & music and play with a huge range of toys & equipment. The children in our care are happy & have a lot of fun!
I have level 3 and 4 qualifications in Early Years Childcare & Education and attend regular training courses. My daughter has a level 3 early years qualification as well as certificates from the many courses she has studied.
We both hold current Paediatric First Aid certificates and we are fully insured.
We are a communication friendly setting.
We both have experience of looking after children with additional needs, particularly autism and speech & language delay. We have experience of using PECS, Attention Autism and of planning targeted activities. We are confident when dealing with other professionals and are happy for them to visit the setting to see the children.
We are able to offer funded sessions for children from the age of 9 months old. Up to 30 hours of free or funded childcare per week. Please contact me if you would like more details on how your child could benefit from funded hours.

My Experience
As a mum of 5 (now grown up) children and having worked as a Registered Childminder for over 25 years, I have a wealth of experience in looking after children and babies from 6 weeks old to school age and beyond.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ3 in Early Years Childcare & Education, a level 4 qualification in The Learning and Development of Babies and Young Children and I hold a current certificate in Paediatric First Aid.
My Availability
Our next available spaces will be in April 2025 for children under the age of 2.
Our core opening hours are Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 3.30pm, although we will consider earlier starts or later finishes.
We don't do any school drop offs or collections

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I have a minimum daily charge of £36 for up to 6 hours per day. Additional hours are charged at £6.00 per hour.
Lunch and snacks, nappies and wipes can be included at £2.50 per day.
