About Me

I'm currently working for a family 3 mornings a week, I'm available after 9.30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm also available all day Monday and Friday. I have 3 children aged 10, 3 and 18 months old, I take my 2 youngest children to work with me currently, when my 3 year old doesn't have nursery. I'd like to be able to find another family that will allow me to bring them too.

I have over 10 years experience in childcare, a job which I enjoy very much, I love working with children & babies as I feel I can contribute to their social development.
I would like to find work as a nanny, and feel I could settle in very quickly with a family as I'm flexible and adaptable.
I am happy to work with a family who have pets as I have come from a family of animal lovers ranging from dogs, cats, ferrets & rabbits so I'm very used to animals.
I am the youngest of four siblings so I am very used to family life I get on well with all age ranges of people & ethnic backgrounds.

My Experience

I've been with my current family since September, I work 3 mornings a week taking the 2 children to school, and occasionally looking after them during school holidays, during the holidays I take all 3 of my children with me.

I was previously working for a family as an after school nanny, my shifts varied due to the parents work and shift patterns. I took my 2 year old little boy with me and my eldest during the holidays. Due to the pandemic I unfortunately had to leave my job in march due to being pregnant and my boss not wanting to risk anyone becoming ill, I was on sick pay until my job came to an end in June as I went on maternity leave.

Previously I was working for a family until mid august, I'm taking children to and from school, and preschool and doing daily activities as well as preparing meals. My son also attend work with me born October 2018.

My previous job was a live- in and in London, before I went on maternity. I worked for the family for almost 3 years, I looked after 2 children ages 3 and 9 years, I sometimes had sole charge of the children as the mum had to travel for work. My daily routine starts with getting both children ready for school, breakfast then I'll do the school run. Once the school run is done, we'd go for a walk then we go to the library for baby and toddler groups, and meet other parents with children the same age. We'd then come home and I prepare lunch for her, after lunch she'd have a nap. Once awake, we'd have a play of messy and creative play. Story time, puzzles amongst other activities, we sometimes go to soft play area too. Then we'd collect the eldest from school and come home, we'd sit and do homework and reading. I'd then prepare dinner for the family and myself, then bath, pyjamas, and put the children to bed.

I worked for a family who's father worked from home, for 6 months as a nanny to their three children, which I loved and am still in touch with the family. my daily routine would be; start at 7:45 make the children breakfast, and the babies bottle then after breakfast the eldest child would be taken to school by his dad. I would do activities with the younger two, aged 4months and 18months. these activities include outside play, messy play. reading, musical instruments and much more. After we'd have a morning snack and nappy changes then the children would have a sleep, whilst asleep I would do housework and prepare lunch. Once awake we do more activities of the children's choice. I'd then serve lunch as well as make another bottle up, and another nappy change. after lunch I'd sterilize the bottles ready for the next feed. We'd have quiet time and read some books the children had chosen. The baby would have another sleep and we done more activities mostly messy play after lunch. The father would go and collect the eldest from school, and I'd change the children's nappies. Once he was home we'd do reading and ask him what he done at school, at 4:30 I would finish I'd talk to the parents what we have done that day. I'd work a longer shift on Wednesday till 6pm.

I did my qualification at South East Essex Collage, whilst there I was on placement at a nursery and school in Rochford working with children from birth to 7.

Once I left collage I then worked in a nursery working with children from birth to 7, In my role as childcare assistant I changed nappies, fed babies, put children to sleep, planned weekly activities, greeted parents/careers, completed communication books for the parents/careers to read about what their child/children have been doing throughout the day. I had key children and learning journeys to complete. I have also had experience working with additional/special needs children, also experience with disabled children.I also would open and close the nursery.

During school holidays the nursery ran a club for children aged 4-8 in this club we planned activities for the children, encouraged the children to share and make friends, we gave the children the choice for their activities, we had quite time when the children would either sit and watch a film of their choice age appropriate or they could do an activity. I had to ensure the registration form was completed by the parents/career before the child/children began the club.
