About Me

I am reregistering as an Ofsted registered childminder after 3 years working in maternity care and with disabled children building on my experience and knowledge. I was previously registered between 2013 and 2022 as a childminder. I hope to be registered by October 2025.

I offer a friendly family home with a small back garden in the Shireway area of Yate. I love being outdoors and feel it's value for children of all ages, whether that's exploring in the woods, stream walking or visiting places like Slimbridge and Westonbirt. I also believe in sensory experiences and play with natural materials for learning.

I have 2 adults daughters and live with my 12 years old son, I also have a baby granddaughter. I have a number of pets which I feel make for a happy home, an elderly King Charles Cavalier, 2 cats, and fish.

I enjoy welcoming families into our home and aim to make children feel safe and secure. I pride myself in offering a home from home.

I can offer babysitting and also wedding childcare too.

My Experience

My children are my biggest experience, and they have all done me proud.

I previously childminder for 9 years in my old house in Chipping Sodbury.

I have worked as a maternity support worker and in social care helping children with disabilities.

I used to be a Rainbow leader.

I used to be the Chair to the local preschool.

My Qualifications

Level 4 Early Years Educator.
Introduction to home based childcare June 2013
Paediatric first aid
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
Children's safeguarding.

My Fees

Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Babysitting from £9.00 per hour

£5.50 per child per hour including food for those over 12 months
