About Me
Hi my name is Claire. I am an ofsted registered childminder in the New Earswick area of York. I have been childminding since April 2014 I am also a mum to my 12 year old twins Samuel and Emily. I have undertaken all the required training in order to become registered with Ofsted. My last ofsted inspection was January 2018 and I was rated as 'Good'. I am also on the councils database of providers of funded childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year old children. I have completed my Level 3 Diploma City & Guilds- Early years educator.
I have a large back garden and do a lot of outdoor activities in it, I love outdoor learning and do spend a lot of time outside with the children. The children love to play in the mud kitchen which is accessed in the garden. We also visit local woodland for outdoor learning experiences. I attend local toddler and baby groups and visit soft play areas and parks. I have connections within the childminding community and regularly meet with other childminders, giving the children plenty of opportunities to develop their social skills.

When I am not working you can often see me out doing my favourite thing...running! Hence the profile picture after finishing the Yorkshire Marathon in under 4 hours in Oct 2021. I am a keen runner and have ran 4 Marathons so far and have no intention of stopping just yet. Health and fitness are important to me and hopefully I set a good example to the children about being active and keeping healthy. Outdoor activities are vital for maintaining physical and mental wellbeing for everyone. This starts from the moment the youngest children attend through all the age ranges and includes myself. I encourage children to be as active as possible and to enjoy the outdoors.

Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner( Early Years Educator)
Pass-Understand how to set up a home based childcare service
First aid Certificate for child carers
Basic awareness in child protection- city of york council
9 GCSE all at grade C and above
Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing studies- The university of Leeds
My Availability
Tues,Wed,Thurs & Fri 0745-1730 all year (except my holidays and bank holidays)
I can offer full days or a minimum of 6 hours for preschool aged children and babies.
I can offer before and after school/nursery care and school holidays. (Huntington Primary academy)

I am currently fully booked, but I will have spaces becoming available from Sept 2022 as I have 5 children moving onto school. The spaces will be for babies or children below school age.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.65 per hour
£45 per day.
School Drop off fee £6.00 flat fee.
After school bookings £12 flat fee
All fees,minimum bookings and terms of contract are explained in full before signing contracts.
