I am an organised, enthusiastic person with passion for working with children. I am passionate about making everyday a fun day with an emphasise on learning through play. I am passionate about providing activities within the home and outside. Children learn so much through activities such as going to the library and doing different cooking activities at home. I also believe that it is important to encourage creativity in everyday activities as well.
My Experience
I have 11 years of experience of working with children in the early years. I have worked in day nurseries which gave me excellent experience of working with children aged 6 months - 5 years. I worked for a charitable organisation that was passionate about training staff to the best possible standard. Therefore I have been on many courses from behaviour management to providing meaningful activities through play.
I then took the decision to become a nanny to be able to work closer to home. I have loved every minute of being a nanny and love nothing more than putting all of my 11 years of experience into providing the very best care for the children that I look after. I make sure that the children have interesting activities to do every day from making play dough to accessing the most interesting stay and play groups in the area. I am also passionate about providing and healthy and nutritious meals for the children through out the day. I have been lucky enough to work closely with early years chefs when I worked in nurseries and played a part in creating weekly menus this helps when planning meals for the children that I nanny for.
My Qualifications
Nvq 3 in childcare, Pediatric first aid certificate and basic food hygiene.
My Availability
I am currently only available for evening and weekend babysitting.

We are disappointed to have to let Paula go now that our eldest son has started school. Our kids have loved her and have made great progress and developed beautifully during their time with her. She is knowledgeable and professional yet creative and imaginative and encourages the kids in these areas. She has kept them entertained with creative play and games and taken them out on walks, to parks and baby/children groups.
She is organised, calm and very easy to get on with. We have found her to be professional and reliable. In all the time with us she has never let us down and has never even taken any unplanned time off or been late.
We were very lucky to find Paula and will definitely keep in touch. We would thoroughly recommend her and are happy to answer questions or receive calls to give a verbal reference if you have any concerns.
