As we all recognise to be a great childminder I need to possess qualities like patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for children, while also being flexible and organised – all of which my current and past children, along with their parents will testify to.
My husband and I are a team offering a secure placement for any child in our care. We have boundless energy and stamina, with a sense of fun, creativity and imagination as we provide a variety of seasonal activities and outings to places of fun and interest. We have all relevant policies in place to ensure the safety and well-being of each child in our care.
I have been a childminder for over 20 years and have a wealth of experience and understanding of children's physical, social, intellectual and emotional development. I have 2 adult children of my own and 4 grandchildren.
My husband and I are registered with Ofsted, have a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, current DBS checks, and demonstrate a commitment to child safety and development.
If you are considering our setting we will offer you a written contract to make sure all arrangements are clear from the start. We will develop friendly and open relationships with your children and you as their parents evidencing that we are reliable, responsible and trustworthy. Both my husband and I have a strong and current knowledge of first aid, hygiene and nutrition as we offer each child on our care balanced healthy meals and snacks (where appropriate – also meeting any dietary needs).

I had booked my daughter into a nursery originally, but had second thoughts and wanted her to be with one person in a home environment so needed to find a childminder.
I spoke to a few childminders but Sue seemed to be most like my parenting approach - out and about every day, healthy food but most importantly so flexible and caring of my daughter.
My daughter loves Sue and no matter how tired or grouchy my daughter is, she always runs to get in the car to sue’s house and gives her a big hug when she sees her. I’ve never regretted or doubted my choice for a second and feel very lucky to have found Sue with all her experience and of course her lovely husband and assistant Gary! xx

Su has been looking after my daughter for years and without any reservation, I can say she is simply the best. Su is caring and loving and flexible. My daughter absolutely adores Su and all the fun times that she has with Su.

Sue has looked after my daughter for over 3 years now and has been absolutely amazing! I can not recommend her enough, she has a fantastic insight into children, she is so kind-hearted, caring and has the knowledge to deal with any issue. She has a lovely connection with each child individually, my daughter is often disappointed on days she is not going to Sues! She has brought my daughter's development along amazingly, helping her with reading, writing, maths, and has really improved her self confidence and behaviour.
During term time sue is always available for before and after school collection, she cooks fresh healthy meals every day and my daughter loves her food. Sue is very active and out and about every day, during the holidays she has taken my daughter to some wonderful places, which i know she would of never experienced with me, to many parks and events i didn't know existed, for example my daughter thoroughly enjoyed going fishing and strawberry picking with her in the recent warm weather. My daughter is always worn out at the end of the day! She always goes the extra mile, even taking my child to parties i could not get to, and holds birthday parties for all of the children. Sue is also very concerned with the safety of the children, e.g making sure they are adequately dressed for the weather, and has even provided spare clothes or sun cream when I have forgot. She is super organised and always on top of everything.
Sue is incredibly flexible and accommodating, she has eliminated any stress regarding childcare arrangements, which can be especially difficult as i am a single parent working shifts, I don't know what I would do without her.

Our son has been going with Sue for 2years now,since he was 2. at first i was nervous of sending him with someone we didnt know and worried but Sue txt me to let me know through out the day how he was getting on to keep my mind at rest. Sue and her husband Gary who also helps out have been amazing for us with my work hours changing day by day Sue is always flexible to my work hours. our son has come on leaps and bounds with his talking and socialising. he mastered potty training really quick with the help from sue. Sue and Gary keep the kids active and busy always doing fun things, my son always comes home in such a good mood with loads of exciting things to tell us. we have used sue for overnights aswell which my son loves to go and always gets excited for a sleepover at sues. when we are at home our son is always wanting to tell Sue and Gary exciting things he has done like riding his bike without stabilizers he is so relaxed around them which makes us as parents relaxed and happy to have Sue as our childminder. sue really is an amazing childminder and we are lucky to have found her.

She has taken care of my son since he was 10months old and he is 3 years now. Haven't seen anyone so loving and caring as Sue. From a shy child, my son has completely changed to an outspoken, fun loving and a confident kid who has lovely manners and talks respectfully. Starting from the table manners, potty training, riding the bike to singing nursery rhymes, all the credit goes to Sue. Being first time parents and with no experience of handling children we have time and again seeked her guidance and have never been dissapointed. She takes all the children out regularly to lovely places and provides healthy home-cooked food as well. If any parent is looking for a childminder who not only would look after your children, but would also teach them to be nice and compassionate human beings, look no further, Sue is the right lady for your rock-star.

Sue has been providing before and after school care for our 6 year old for just over a year now and is brilliant. She also helps us out with childcare over the holidays as we need it. Our daughter loves it at Sue's, she has made firm friends with the other children and always has lots of fun. Meals are really good and varied and they often go out to various parks, soft plays etc. In nice weather they are out in the garden playing or having a water fight. Sue is very reliable and our daughter is really happy.

Sue has been childminding my 7 year old son for the past two months. My son is a very lively active child with loads of energy and bores very quickly! This lady manages to keep him occupied, entertained, physically and mentally fulfilled with her happy enthusiastic can do attitude!! Nothings a problem! He even willingly reads his school books to her, whereas he never wanted to with me! She helps him research school projects and various topics using the internet and the local library. I think my son would actually prefer to live with her!! He's always telling me what he did that day and what he had for tea!! He now eats things he would have normally never have entertained. This makes me happy to know my child has healthy, nutritionally balanced meals everyday. My son and myself are very happy with his childminder and i would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a honest, caring, fun filled childminder!!! That's a definite full five stars from the two us!!! xxx
