I live in South West Denton, in Newcastle with my 2 children. I have a Daughter and a Son..We also have a cat and a dog.
I am very friendly and chatty, loyal and dependable.
I am a non-smoker.

I can drop off and pick up from Waverley Nursery and West Denton primary school and St John Vianney.
I have been graded GOOD by Ofsted.
I offer lots of fun learning activities (in and outdoor) to stretch and develop children in a safe and loving environment.

My Experience
I have 27 years post qualifying experience as a Nursery Nurse, looking after children from birth to 12 years of age, in a variety of different day care settings. From, a private Nanny to Managing a creche.
I also have a young Daughter and Son.

B-Tec National Diploma in Nursery Nursing.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
£5.00 per hour for children all day per child
£5.00 per hour for School children per child
All fees are inclusive of snacks (except Infant Formula)
Trips and Outings are also covered.
term time only contracts £5.00 p/h
I charge a minimum of 3 hours per day.

As a parent that is scared to leave my child with anyone , Sheena provided me with assurance , she is very very professional, communicates effectively ,supportive and EXPERIENCED, lots of fun activities for the children to do ! my daughter absolutely loves going to her house ! One thing that caught my eye is that she does a photographic journey book from when your child first starts to when they leave , which makes her services stand out (unique) as a mum that loves to caputure memories this is amazing ! Would highly recommend!! Best childminder there is in Newcastle upon Tyne :)

I will really miss you and your Daughter. we have definitely worked effectively in Partnership with each other to give your little lady a space where she has made friends and enjoyed different learning opportunities especially moving and not knowing anyone or the area etc. She has been good fun getting to know and looking forward to hearing all her updates on how she is progressing. My little girl joined Sheena when me moved to the local area until she started nursery and she loved it.
Great childminder, fab days out with the kids and all the kiddies love her.
Highly recommended.

My son Harry has been with Sheena since he was 10 months old and she and has been amazing with him from day 1.
We moved to Newcastle from Sheffield, and leaving your child whilst you go back work after maternity leave is beyond difficult, especially in a new city, but we felt at such ease. Sheena let us know regularly how Harry was settling in and would see photos of how much fun he was having.
I turned to Sheena for advice when Harry had just turned 1 after noticing a few development problems. She had noticed the same things as I had and was able to speak with her about ways that would help Harry until we get more answers from professionals.
Harry has loved every minute with her, we honestly could not recommend her enough. If we ever find ourselves coming back to Newcastle in the future, we would 100% come back to her if she would have us! ❤️

This has literally just made me cry. I'm honoured you chose me. I had a great bond with Harry and he has been a pleasure to care for. Working in partnership was crucial for his developmental needs and I'm pleased I was part of his story and watching him grow.. He has changed so much in the time I had him and become a very confident and somewhat cheeky as every toddler should be. I wish you all good luck in the future and would love to stay in contact. ❤
Sheena has been absolutely brilliant with not only my son but myself too, i was a nervous wreck when I first dropped my son off wanting to message Sheena every hour to make sure he was ok and she never once told me to back off, she went with it and comforted me when I needed it which I needed at the time.
Sheena’s flexibility of times have been amazing as I have changed jobs meaning later days until 6pm which not a lot of childminders offer.
Sheena is brilliant with my son always professional and caring, she takes him to toddler classes and outings most days, when they aren’t out and about they are doing arts&crafts etc at home which means my son comes home with the nicest little handmade things
My little boy absolutely loves going to Sheena’s and it’s like home from home as he is always made to feel welcome not only by Sheena but her husband and 2 wonderful children and we don’t know where we would be without her now!

The last 9 months have flown over. I’ve watched him grow and his personality develop and his speech and vocabulary is getting wider by the day!
Feels like I have known you both forever and I do genuinely miss the children when it’s not ‘their’ days. I open up by home and heart to the little ones and it’s like an extended family. Thank you for taking the leap because you was really nervous but working in partnership we settled him in and now he has a 2nd home. X
When I decided that I needed a childminder, the whole process terrified me. How could I leave my shy 2 year old with a stranger?? As soon as I turned up she welcomed both me and my daughter with open arms. Aside from being a lovely woman, I was immediately impressed about how professional she was and how knowledgeable she was about all aspects of caring for a small child. The thing that impresses me the most is the the range of activities and experiences she gives her cherubs. Emma truly blossomed in her care.
As a first time mam, I had no experience of any of this and Sheena was so helpful - and still is!!
Emma and I are still with Sheena coming up to 6 years later along with Emma's little brother. I can honestly say hand on heart that I'm very lucky to have Sheena in my children's lives.

Leaving your own child with anyone is a difficult thing to do.
I feel honoured you chose me to look after your precious Princess and later her little Brother.
I can honestly say, I absolutely love my job. The thing that I love is getting to know the children and seeing how they grow and being a massive part of their lives. It’s not all about the children as I class their parents as my friends. X

Sarah is a lovely mum and devoted to her 3 children.
They all have their little quirks and personalities and are all well rounded individuals who adapt well to new and changing environments.
sarah and her children are almost like part of the family now and im looking forward to see how the children grow and develop over the coming years.
I never thought I would say this after my first child minder who was a god send but I have struck gold a second time. After moving house just before my daughter started reception class I was lucky enough to find Sheena. Since it has been a while since Grace was with a childminder I thought it may lead to an unsettled period but it seems like Grace hasa second home where she feels settled and happy to be..In fact she is so happy to go to Sheena's that she counts the sleeps over the weekend until her next visit. Her days are packed full of activities and I have never known her to eat so well. Thanks Sheena for being you....it makes me feel a little less guilty for going to work :)

Just wanted to say, that Grace is a pleasure to look after. She is a happy little girl and very laid back. She just seemed to fit in our home.
I miss her now she has started school. Im already starting to plan our School holiday activities!.
Its nice that I get on with both of you as well and feel this has made a smoother transition for Grace. x
