I am 54 years old. I have 2 daughters, aged 22 and 18 years in 2024. I am responsible, reliable, honest, child focused and friendly. I have been happily married for 25 years.
I have had my own business "Poppins" providing adhoc/emergency childcare within child's own home, babysitting since 2015
My Experience
I qualified NNEB in 1987 and have worked with children since in different roles. I have been a sole charge nanny for many families with children ranging from newborn to 12 years. I have worked in private day nurseries, supervisor of Jigsaw Playgroup for 2 years (1999-2001), Family Support Worker for Kingston Social Services (2002-2011) and have been a registered Foster carer for Surrey County Council (2011-2014). I have cared for 2 premature babies (for 4 months and 16 months). Whilst fostering I attended many different training programmes to enhance my skills in working with children and families.
I also run a toddler group "Wiggles" for a local church on Friday mornings.
I have worked for 3½ years with a mother on maternity leave helping to care for her 2 year old and newborn son.
In September 2015 I launched my own business "Poppins" providing adhoc/emergency childcare within child's own home, babysitting.
I am now training to become a registered childminder with a childminding Agency and hope to be up and running in September

My Availability
I will have availability for an under 1 Yr old ( from 9 months old) on Mon - Thursdays and a 2-4 Yr old Mon- Thursdays (2 places available for this age on Tuesdays) 8am-5.30pm.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
£80 per day without funding.
Different hourly rates for funded children, age dependant.
£12 per hour for evening babysitting.

Nikki worked for us for 5 years, being a nanny to our two boys. We loved having her as part of our lives and the children adored her. Nikki took the boys on daily adventures, and as she often cares for pets, the boys got to meet and walk lots of lovely dogs too. Both our boys have grown up as super confident children and I put that in large part down to Nikki's care, as they went out exploring, got to meet other children and were not just dropped off to stay in one room all day. I'd highly recommend Nikki to anyone, for children of any age.

Nikki first started working for me in 2018 when my first son was born. I didn't know how I would feel about someone else looking after my first born baby but Nikki put me at ease instantly. She was so good with my son and after 5 years of Nikki caring for my two children, she is basically like part of the family. My boys love her and gained so much from their time with her.
I would highly recommend Nikki to anyone thinking about hiring a nanny.
