About Me
Hi, My name is Sharon. I am an Ofsted registered childminder currently with limited vacancies .
I live with my civil partner of 18 years and my 3 dogs, 3 cats on Thorne Road. I have one daughter and four grandchildren aged 8 to 17
I have lived in Doncaster for 19 years and in my semi detached house for 14 years.
It has an enclosed garden back and front.
I consider myself to be an amiable person with a sense of humour, bags of patience, an honest disposition, trustworthy, extremely reliable with a well honed sense of fairness.
I will be working within the EYFS framework. I have a dedicated room in my setting where the children can engage in activities such as baking, painting, dressing up, role play, expressive art, reading & story telling.
All my resources will be rotated to ensure your child/ren's interest and I will buy new resources to help with their development.
All food is cooked fresh daily and special dietary requirements can be catered for.
I will also be arranging frequent visits to parks, play activities and childrens centres
Each child will be treated as an individual & given lots of loving care & encouragement to develop at their own pace.
My Experience
An ex-Nurse I have worked for 30+ years in the Social Care Sector. My positions have included working with the elderly & palliative care in a Hospice setting, Vulnerable children & adults with learning disabilities in both day centre and residential settings.
I was a foster parent for Somerset County Council.
My grandchilren sometimes stay with me in the school holidays & I have been actively involved with them since their birth.
I have just been inspected by Ofsted and received two consecutive Good Gradings This means that I am able to offer 2, 3 & 4 year old funding.
My Qualifications
Ex Nurse (Was trained as SRN in 1975)
NVQ levels 2 & 3 in Social Care
NCFE Level 2 Safe Handling of Medicines
Diversity & Equality Level 2
Paediatric First Aid & Epipen training Level 2
Food & Hygiene Certificate to Catering level
My Availability
My core hours are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday with a shutdown at Christmas.
I take 4 weeks holiday a year
Having worked several shift patterns myself in the past, I understand the need for flexibility within my business and am willing to work with parents needing overnight care for 5 year olds and above that sleep through the night. **PLEASE NOTE, OVERNIGHT CARE IS NOT BEING OFFERED DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC**
