My Summary
About Me
I am a 50 yr old mum of 1 daughter who is 24yrs old. I am currently working as a foster carer for my local council. I am also working as an ad hoc/emergency nanny, and can provide recent references from the families i have been working for. I have a full driving licence and have my own car (7 seater), insured to carry children. I am looking for either part time nanny work, Maternity nanny/nurse overnight nanny duties.
Before becoming a foster carer, I worked on a Neonatal unit (My 6 year Neonatal experience (ongoing) has given me the opportunity to work closely with parents of newborns and preterm babies, supporting them with all aspects of their babies care, including breastfeeding advice and support.) and a children's emergency hospital admissions unit as an Neonatal/paediatric Assistant practitioner working along side nursing staff and doctors. When my daughter was younger I worked as a nanny and as a registered child-minder.
I believe in providing a healthy well balanced lifestyle, including a well balance diet, for the children that I care for, attending playgroups and having fun outdoors when possible. I consider good communication is an essential part of working together.
