My Summary
About Me
Out and about every day, home to enjoy messy play! A happy and secure OFTED Outstanding rated setting where each child feels valued, and develops their EYFS goals through play and imagination. Through first hand understanding of the issues surrounding being a working parent I am flexible in my approach to childminding and work closely with parents, complimenting home life and routine.
Children enjoy daily interaction with peers as we attend regular and varied pre-school groups and are out and about often. We are fortunate to have a small play park at the end of our road and live very close to a common / nature reserve where we often explore the woods and do a lot of forest learning activities in addition to walking along the cycle path to Abbey Fields to feed the ducks and use the great play area, enjoy pic-nics and make use of my Kenilworth Castle pass. We also sometimes use the bus or car for trips out for example, to soft play, The Herbert Museum and Art Gallery or Memorial park water play area.
I am an active member within my small Childminder network where children get to know a wider circle of friends, and become used to 3 or 4 other Childminders I work closely with. This is especially helpful if we need to cover for each other during holidays or if you need additional days.
I am a creative person and enjoy organising frequent Arts and Crafts activities for all ages of children but they have space for quiet time, music and reading also.

We moved from a village near Bristol, to Kenilworth in July 2013 after my husband secured employment at an environmental consultancy and I have been Childminding ever since. We have three children (born 2004, 2007 and 2011).
