About Me
Hi, my name is Nicki, I live in Skellingthorpe and am married to my husband Chris. We live in a detached family home with our 2 daughthers, aged 10 and 7 and our very friendly cockerpoo dog. Our daughters both currently attend The Holt Primary School in the village. I can drop off and pick up from The Holt School. I have a playroom which I use specifically for childminding which has a range of toys, from dolls and pushchairs to cars and bricks. It also has a role play area with dressing up clothes, a kitchen with play food and several pushchairs and dolls accessories. I try to incorporate a lot of natural resources Into play, which allows the children to use their imagination. I also have a range of toys for babies such as play mats and play arches, bright and textured toys and musical toys, all geared towards stimulating the senses. Within the playroom there is also an arts and craft area where the children can create masterpieces using a variety of resources such as glue, paint, playdough, glitter, sequins and stickers. I have a safe enclosed garden where the children can play and get fresh air and excercise daily, the children have their own little area of the garden which they enjoy planting herbs and vegetables in. There is also a park within the village which I like to take the children to, I also often take the children to other parks such as Hartsholme to feed the ducks and play on the play equipment. I also visit soft play areas, cafes, and places such as Bransby horses home. There are 2 toddler groups within the village which we visit regularly, this allows the children to mix and play with others, and take part in a variety of activities. We are big fans of messy play, whether it be sand, mud or water play, paint, shaving foam or gloop-the messier the better! This allows children to explore lots of different textures and allows them a fun and hands on way of learning. I also meet up regularly with 3 other childminders within the village. This allows all the children that we look after to mix with a larger group of children and make lots of friends. We also like to go on group outings and day trips.
My aim is to provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential through play.
My Experience
I have been childminding for over 5 years and have cared for children aged between 9months and 7 years.
My Qualifications
I have undertaken all the necessary training to qualify as a childminder. I am also trained in pediatric first aid, The Safeguarding of Children and hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate. I also hold a full UK driving licence with no convictions. Both myself and my husband hold a full DBS certificate.
My Availability
I currently have one space on a Thursday 8am-6pm. I will have spaces becoming available in September when existing children go up to school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £3.80 per hour
£3.80 an hour including 2 snacks (one in morning, one in afternoon). I ask parents to provide a healthy packed lunch, or meal I can reheat for lunch time. I can provide an evening meal for a charge of £2.10 or am happy for parents to provide an evening meal for me to reheat.

Ruby has been looked after by Nicki for 3 years... Ruby always comes home with a smile on her face and can’t wait to tell me what a fantastic day she has had.. Nicki is kind, caring and very flexible which has been amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing childminder, Nicki has helped shape ruby into a lovely little girl.. forever grateful x
