About Me
I have lived in England for 32 years. I spent my childhood in the suburbs of Paris and I still visit my family in France whenever possible. I have 2 children. Beside working as a childminder I enjoy reading, gardening, walking and cooking. I enjoy listening to music and travelling. My daughter is 26 and has graduated in childcare from Plymouth university. My son is 22 and is studying at the chiropractic uni in Bournemouth.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for nearly 25 years. I worked in a nursery as a team leader and then in a pre-school. I enjoyed working as part of a team but decided to work as a child minder to offer home from home care. I have been lucky to start childcare in my home very quickly and have enjoyed it ever since. I evaluate my setting constantly and make changes accordingly. I go on training regularly and now work with two assistants who are also trained and DBS checked.
My Qualifications
I graduated from the Open University and obtained a level 5 foundation degree In childcare. I am very proactive with following training to enhance children's leaning and broaden my knowledge. I have all the necessary qualifications like Paediatric First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding. I also trained as a SENCO (Special Need Co-ordinator) and as an ENCO (Equality co-coordinator). I also work with 1 assistant 4 days a week which enables me to help parents with shift work. I have been nominated childminder of the year in 2014. Our ethos are anchored on children’s interests and voices. We follow a Reggio approach and let the children guide the day to day routine. We put a great emphasis on art, music and outdoors. We use reusable nappies and teach children about recycling and respect of the environment.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£6.00 an hour. I charge £5 a day for all food and and snacks between 8 am and 6 pm. All menus are well balanced only using fresh and in seasonal ingredients. I also use organic and free range products whenever possible. We work term time only and will not charge during this period.

Nathalie and her team at Pomme d’Api provide a wonderful mix of the smaller, more homely and nurturing setting benefits alongside an amazingly varied schedule of activities and learning opportunities more often provided by larger settings, all tailored for each of the children within their care. We have regular communication with Nathalie regarding our child’s progress and accomplishments and ‘what’s next’. We’re always amazed at the variety and effort that Nathalie and team go to, particularly around celebrations - our child certainly has a broader multicultural awareness than we did at 3 years old! Nathalie engages all of the families and provides regular updates on what the children are doing and learning. Delicious homemade food is provided daily for the children. Nathalie has stringent cleanliness and safety standards and trains her team to provide the same. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second on recommending Pomme d’Api to any families looking for a reliable and nurturing setting that allows your child to grow in confidence at the same time as learning and being lovingly cared for as if they were family. Our child LOVES it here and has made the best of friends.
