About Me
. I am an experienced childminder with a genuine love of children. I have 3 grown up children and one granddaughter.I am a very sociable and confident person with a good sense of humour (which is definitely needed when working with children) I love the fact that each day is different and life is never boring or predictable when working as a childminder. I am passionate about giving excellent childcare and making parents feel at ease. I am a well known childminder in St. Neots and most of my work comes through word of mouth which is always nice. I an Outstanding OFSTED registered and received an excellent report. I am an accredited childminder which means that the term after a child is 3 they can access 15 free hours which is funded by the government.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare sector for over 30 years. i was the manger of a local day nursery for 16 years and ran a preschool for a year. In my setting children learn through play and activities are planned to adhere to their individual needs. Children are loved and cared for in a positive environment which allows their individual needs to be nurtured. Through positive praise they develop self confidence. I have a separate playroom where the children can play and they also have access to the lounge and garden. I create a home from home atmosphere where children are free to choose the activities they want to do. The main aim of my setting is for the children to have fun, feel valued and safe.Children have the opportunity to do a variety of craft activities, puzzles, games, stories, music,singing and many more exciting activities.
I am a member of our local childminding group and various toddler groups. I attend regular training sessions to ensure I keep updated.
I have an up to date Paediatric first aid certificate.
