About Me
Welcome to Claire Bears Childminding. I have been a registered childminder for 10 years and a qualified childcare worker for the past 17years. I live in the Meadows Nottingham, with my little boy who is 9 years old.
At Claire Bears we enjoy a variety of activities and outtings to local groups during the week including the library, soft play, toddlers groups and Nature walks. We also enjoy plenty of play time at home. I have the main play room where children can play and learn I have a variety of much loved small world toys from trains and cars to dolls house and farms. Construction toys including duplo, stickle bricks, linkin star and wooden blocks. I have a role play corner which can be a kitchen, a train station, a vets or even a flower shop. A maths area with things such as puzzles, counting resources, measuring and weighing equipment. Messy/ mark making area for drawing, painting, cutting and sticking, play-dough, corn flower, and plenty of messy play. I also have a more chilled out room known as the cozy room where the children can chill out on the bean bags and read a book watch tv, play on the wii or play one of my many board games. In this room I also have lots of younger age toys for the little ones like treasure baskets to explore, stacking toys, bead frames, musical instruments, sensory toys and cuddly toys. This is also the room where most of the little ones can take a nap. We try and play out side as much as possible and in all weathers i am lucky to have a small garden where the doors are open for free play as much as possible I have sand and water available at all times a water wall, chalk board and mud kitchen as well as ride ons, pushchairs and scooters. I also have a bigger garden where I have a climbing frame with playhouse, slides and various different changeable swings. In the summer I like to have lots of different water play activities and hopefully the paddling pool out.
I offer full days or half days as well as school wraparound and holiday care. For children aged 0-11 years.
I also help to run a toddler group on a Tuesday in Lenton which we attend and the children enjoy, they love to help with the setting up and tidying away and we sometimes stay for our lunch which they look forward to.
My Experience
Before I started work as a childminder I was working in private day nursery's and sure start centres mostly in the baby room with children aged 0-2. I have a cache level 3 in "Child care and education" and have been qualified since 2007.
My Qualifications
I have a Cache level 3 diploma in childcare and education. I am Ofsted registered and 1st aid trained
My Availability
I am available 8-6 Monday.- Friday
I offer before and after school care, as well as during the holidays. I offer drop off and/ or collection from Saint Patrick’s school and south Wilford school.
I can be felixable with times if needed.

Claire was recommended by my sons teacher.
Claire always does lots of different activities and my son always came home from Claires excited to tell me what they've done. She was really accommodating with my sons food intolerance.
Claire is really reliable and has been really accommodating if extra mornings are needed (with notice of course). Also payments are really straightforward, which hasn't always been the case with nurserys.
The set up is perfect with a lovely garden space and plenty of room for the children to play and chill out. What stood out when I first went to see everything was how immaculate everything is.

I chose Claire to be our childminder having seen her at toddler group at the local library.
She has a excellent manner with all the children in her care. She is always calm, patient and helpful. Our daughter is always happy there and really loves Claire. I’ve seen a big progress with her communication skills, maths and social behavior. We are very happy with our choice and highly recommended Claire to anyone. She was the best thing for our daughter!

We have been using Claire Bears since our little girl was 9months old.
Claire provides a lovely welcoming setting for the children with separate areas for different activities.
Claire’s dedication to the children’s development and happiness cannot be questioned , she always has a varied range of fun and educational activities for all ages and abilities.
Her knowledge and advice if needed is always helpful and reassuring.
Holiday time is fun time and no 2days are the same with lots of fun outings for all.
My little one loves seeing different children and interacting with the different ages, it’s always a challenge to get her to come home!!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare in the area.

2 of my children have been with claire from around 1.5 years old until starting school.. and my 9 month old will be going in the future.
Claire is amazing with the children she cares for.. always goes the extra mile and provides a huge variety of activities-including lots of fun days out.
she has a fantastic food selection available for them too.
I am so happy that I decided to send my children here.
their development whilst in her setting has been superb.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending claire to anyone needing childcare.
her flexibility with childcare is amazing, due to being a single mum I often require her to look
after my older children as and when I need.
she will always go out of her way to help.

Claire was my childminder for my daughter for over 4 1/2 years. She has been brilliant with a very determined young girl and has been able to channel all that energy into play, into reading and developing a confident young child who gets on really well with others. Claire was able to provide nutritional food that helped my daughter, who had a milk intolerance and she was able to accommodate that. Also her hatred of vegetables and got her to eat them!
Claire is experienced, confident and accommodating to parents and always has a listening ear in regards to their children. She has a lovely home, which has great facilities for children to play and develop their skills to the best of their ability. Claire is also great during school holidays with outings and making sure that the children have a really great time and lots of fun! My daughter, who is now 10 yrs old, still talks of days out that she has had.
