Nanny
About Me
UPDATED July 2024
I am a local Nanny working in Grayshott, Haslemere, Godalming, and surrounding areas. I offer a share care nanny set-up, working with multiple families over the week, on part-time hours to suit everyone’s needs.
I currently have space on Monday, Tuesday and Friday for a new family.
About me:
Returning full time to nannying in September 2021. I have had the pleasure of working for two lovely families. Thoroughly enjoyed caring for twins, who had just turned two years old and a two-year-old about to become a big brother. Over the years, we have had some amazing adventures, and with the introduction of a new arrival. I’ve loved creating a community for the children. This naturally grew into a nanny share and I couldn’t have wished for a better situation, with the children now attending school they have a lovely foundation of friends.
Covid year - I worked as a Nanny/Carer for 11-year-old twins, nonverbal, who are on the Autistic Spectrum. As I was working with the boys, it made me realise I didn't want to return to leisure sector, and I left my job in April 2021 to continue working with the twins. They are now attending secondary school.
VALUES
- Encouraging children to be independent
- Developing their communication skills, including their range of language
- Helping them develop social skills and communicating with other individuals
- Encouraging them to be respectful, to others and the world
- Helping them build an understanding of responsibility for their things
- Encouraging them to be curious and persevere
HOW I WORK
I am extremely organised and tidy, so you won't need to worry about routines or planning day to day. I will plan activities which are fun and educational, this will include a lot of outdoor activities in all weather. With a nanny network, your children will be able to learn social skills with others and build friendships along the way. We have attended many local activities over the years, including music classes, forest schools, play-ball, messy play and many more. I enjoy looking after children and helping them grow and develop at their own pace.
If I sound like the right nanny for you and your little ones, please feel free to message me.
My Experience
September 2021
Nanny share over the three years with three families & emergency care roles alongside
Twin boys & older sister (four days a week - daytime care)
Two year old boy & new baby brother (three days a week - daytime care)
Two year old & older sister (after-school collection and holiday care)
I pride myself of being able to help families, sometimes for short periods of time and sometimes for longer, by creating an environment where children feel safe and secure. I have worked with children with separation anxiety, additional needs and children who are just aren't suited for nursery lifestyle.
Nanny/Carer August 2020-September 2021

Nanny (Self-employed)
January 2014 - January 2016
I worked as a sole care, live in, nanny for two boys. When i started with the family the children were six months old and two years old.
I spent my time arranging educational activities, for both boys, which were age and stage appropriate. We also attended, football and rugby classes, music classes and language classes throughout the week.
I was in charge of all the basis day to day household chores, as well as taking care of feeding and weeing preparation, sleeping routines and toilet training. I worked as a full time nanny, from 6.00am until 6.00pm. I was with the family for two years, at which point the older boy started attending a local school and the younger brother went into full time nursery. This was such a fulfilling role, and i thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this family.
Toad Hall Nursery Haslemere
Position – Room Leader of Pre-School 3-5years
Employment Dates – February 2013 – December 2013
As Room leader my role was to ensure that the running of the room was smooth and that my team were interacting and engaging the children in the activities planned to help them get ready for school. I set up a free flow environment were the children could gain confidence in their ability and independence. I encouraged outdoor play every day and helped run the football and summer sport group. Using pictures and examples of the children’s work to get an understanding of every child’s ability and where they are in the EYFS program was something I did on a day to day bases. I encouraged the parents to take their folder home, especially the parents who didn’t get to interact with us because of work commitments. I worked hard at developing relationships with the parents as I know that having a good relationship means that the child will receive the best care for them as you have a good understanding of their background and areas they need support in. While at Toad Hall I went on a Supporting Behaviour and development course and a SENCO meeting with the speech therapist. I was also in charge of encouraging the cook and grow project for all ages. I also worked with children who had language barriers, different religious backgrounds and additional needs.

My Qualifications
Education
Alton College 2010 - 2012
BTEC National Diploma in Childcare Learning and Development – 3 Distinctions
BTEC Award in Paediatric First Aid Basic 0-8years – PASSED
Over this two year course I worked with children from 0 to 8 years old, I gained my experience by working in a range of different child care environments. While I was at each placement I would implement activities which related to the six areas of development, personal social and emotional, communication, language and literacy, problem solving, reasoning and numeracy, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical and creative. I had to change and adapt activities to ensure that they were age and stage appropriate for the children and babies I worked with. Being in a setting and working with different people I was able to understand the requirements needed and to gain a better understanding of the importance of safeguarding children, protecting and caring for them. While being at each setting I was assessed on my attitude, attendance, interaction with the children and the suitability of the activities I planned.
