My Summary
About Me
I am signed with a lovely family in Tooting so currently unavailable. I promised to stay until the baby started school which will be September 2025. I will be available for interviews from June 2025.
Since moving to london 12 years ago my experience has all been in Balham & Clapham. Originally running Art workshops. I still privately tutor and have began art workshops again and an advisory service to guide parents through hiring a nanny.
I have previously worked Sole care and a nanny share with a french family & English family - the latter, whose little boy started to speak a French. ( Nursery rhymes - colours, counting, songs etc and basic conversation)
Experience
I have new born experience with three babies aged 12 weeks 20 weeks & 6 months, all sole care. The 12 week old baby is now a balanced, secure and happy bilingual little 8 year old girl.
Nutrition
I create imaginative meals for children and have successfully encouraged them to eat all vegetables, carbs and proteins. I am also happy to accept what the parents make, and have learned a lot from my french and Italian families how to make vegetables interesting and tasty using simple natural ingredients. My current family have a thermomix so We get steamed fresh veg every day - with meats or fish etc added. As the children get older we try and make fruit look interesting. Strawberries for example can be turned into an Octopus ....or monster if Halloween.. :)
We also do many Arts and Crafts again trying to inspire imagination relating to the seasons cultural events and the usual naughty Elves at Christmas, bunnies at Easter, dragons for Chinese New Year, & Diwali. Of course relevant to your child’s age.
Development:
I have been involved in all the processes of weaning,Teaching nursery rhymes, counting songs and colours, and reading and writing in different languages. Also taking walks on Wandsworth and tooting Commons.Taking to toddler groups & playdates etc.
But the most important thing to me is that any child I look after feels secure and happy to explore and be themselves.
I like to take the children out as much as possible leaving the toddler groups and indoor activities to the winter! Currently we attend Music and Movement , Babybach, fledglings and singalong at the Library. This has currently been reigned back due to COVID-19. But we still go out for walks every day.
I am able to assess a childs development and progress. I have studied holistic courses such as C.A.F. Pediatric first aid. & Cache level 3 in childcare. I write a diary each day so the parents can see how their child is developing, eating and sleeping.
But more importantly to me I have o years experience with children & am still in contact with most of the children I have taught or looked after.
My Experience
Degree in the Arts & post graduate in 3 D Design, Art history & Psychology

Jane looked after our daughter for almost a year, and we recommend her very highly. Our daughter loved her and was so happy to see her every morning. Jane is very reliable, caring, and knows children very well. She cooks lovely meals and is very good at finding great places/playgroups for outside activities. As a parent, I really valued the trust we had and the transparency in our relationship. I have no doubt in saying that it must be very hard/impossible to find a better nanny than Jane!
Jane is a fantastic nanny and became part of our family very quickly. We were lucky to nanny share with a local family (I found Jane on this website and she was already working with them) who had a little girl a few months older than my little one, and her and my daughter got on extremely well. We were gutted when COVID/lockdown brought this to an abrupt end. We have kept in close contact throughout lockdown (via facetime and whatsapp) and it was lovely to meet up for a socially distanced walk recently :) I know we will stay in touch.
The nanny share was based at my house, by choice, as it worked best for both families. My daughter's routine was respected and Jane kept to it perfectly - this meant my daughter flourished in so many ways. She still had her sleep and her fab homemade (agreed and made by Jane) meals (which Jane would pop in a tupperware and put in the fridge if it wasn't finished, any also got plenty of stimulation via the playgroups Jane took the girls to, the walks outside, the reading and playing they did at home together etc. The girls were like sisters which was amazing, as we only have one child (who is now finding it challenging to share!!).
We found communicating with Jane very easy, she would never need to be asked twice about anything at all - no matter how big or small. If I was being particularly fussy about anything I knew I could talk to Jane about it and things would be completely sorted. She helped me relax as a first time mum too, and I could tell she took a massive interest in my daughter and her development (and still does). Jane also kept a book on each of the girls which I treasure, and I've added it to my daughter's memory box for her to read in years to come :)
Thank you Jane for being so fantastic, you were the best solution to our childcare. We are sorry to not be continuing but unfortunately Jane can't make the move to Buckinghamshire with us!! ;-)
We could not have asked for a better experience.
Jane started looking after my daughter 3.5 years ago and still has my daughter once a week. We have found Jane to be a pleasure to work with, she is completely reliable, consistent with my daughter and helpful to us. They have regular outings together and Jane has very good knowledge of the local area in terms of groups and activities for the little ones.
Jane has not had one sick day!
But the most important thing is that my daughter loves her to bits, she is always checking when is it a 'Janey day' and that for me is the best sign that Jane is very good at what she does.
We are only leaving Jane as we are moving out of London, and I am extremely sad about this.
I hope that Jane finds a really nice family that will appreciate and benefit form the experience she has and the sense of support she brings to the family.
