Trina, I am an Ofsted registered childminder and member of PACEY. I live a short walk from Vicarage road ( Hospital side) within close proximity to local schools and have parking outside my home for drop offs.
With over 20 years experience working with children, I havd a wealth of knowledge having gained numerous qualifications including NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, hold a current, full DBS certificate, First Aid and child protection awareness certificate and continue to educate myself to keep up to date on all policies and procedures.
While I predominantly care for children from infant age to toddlers, I do also provide care to school age children and can provide excellent references.
Day to day activities:
We engage in physical and mental stimulation, obtained through various play groups including Hartbeeps, Creative play, parks, indoor play areas, farms, National Heritage sites, and leisure centres. Each child has their own individual academic and emotional needs; I always work with you to achieve your childs own personal development goals, which will enable them to flourish in a positive way and also encourage them to meet and socialise with other children to develop their social/interpersonal skills.
On days where we are unable to get out and about , the children get access to indoor activities including - painting, drawing, baking, playing with musical instruments, singing, and learning. With an extensive selection of books, games for all ages, dressing up clothes, arts & crafts, your child will have a multitude of activities to keep them busy throughout the day.
I have a large outdoor log cabin which is set up as a play area with soft mats, this gives the children the ability, to play outdoors in all weather in a private fenced garden. With sand pit, play house, bicycles & scooters, slides, balls, play kitchen including a mud kitchen and water play, this is the perfect setting to allow them to have lots of fun & fulfil their educational needs.
As a mother myself to two grown up girls, I understand the importance of adequate childcare; it can be a daunting process, for both you the parents and child. I am here to help and will ensure that this transition runs as smooth as possible. Each child has different requirements, whether that be dietary needs, toilet training, nap time or educational support, I am able to provide knowledgeable experience. Parents have always complimented me on the loving and homely environment I provide for their children and my warm and calm approach.

TRINA has looked after my little one for a couple of months but now she has grown out of age and it's time to move on to the next step wich is nursery. My daughter loved spending time with Trina, she was very happy every day doing different activities, going out in the garden or parks, reading stories, doing playdough, number blocks..etc
Trina is very warm and friendly, her communication with parents is excellent and I enjoy seeing photos of what my daughter have been up to.
I would highly recommend without any hesitation-she's fantastic!

Trina has been looking after my two girls for over 2 years now. She helps with schools runs with my oldest daughter and looks after her occasionally as she’s 8 and in school full time.
However she looks after my youngest daughter who is 3 years old, full time.
Trina is absolutely amazing! My kids love her and always excited to go to her place.
Trina is very professional, always punctual for school pick ups and drop offs. She is very friendly, approachable and you can tell love her job.
Many times she has helped for emergencies/ ad hocs.
My 3 year old daughter has learned so much and grown in confidence Has made lots of friends and looks forward to going everyday! My daughter starts school this September, thanks to Trina she has set the foundation and prepared my daughter for school. Highly recommend Trina. Thank you so much we are so going to miss you.

Trina has looked after my little girl for just over 2 years. I that time Trina has helped her flourish helping her learn numbers, letters and grow her vocabulary. Trina takes the children out each day whether it be to the farm, park, scooter park or even just playing in the garden the children are always outside.
Trina has been very patient with my daughters fussy eating and has helped her try more foods. She supported her brilliantly through her natural development, helping with her walking, potty training and building her confidence so she can go on to preschool.
Trina is an all round star and I know my little girl will miss her emensely.

My daughter has been with Trina for 2 years and has absolutely loved going there. Trina takes the children out everyday and even to the farm and sports days which my daughter has really enjoyed! She has even built a log cabin in her garden for the children to play in. Trina helps the children with their fine motor skills and works with them individually to write letters and trace things which will prepare them for school. Trina has been extremely accommodating with my early starts and sometimes late finishes with work which has made being a single parent less stressful. Trina is an overall lovely person and is so great with the children! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! My daughter will really miss her when she goes to school!

I am soo lucky to have found such a caring and kind person to look after both my young children. I was let down by a previous childminder and Trina was just amazing in accommodating my childminding needs.
I was nervous about leaving my young baby, but the way Trina responded with the children in her care and how happy they were, I knew I had found the perfect match.
Trina has looked after my young baby since she was 5 weeks old. My daughter has on going health issues and Trina has supported me through this and has even helped with my daughter feeding difficulties she was having.
Trina now looks after both my children, my daughter who is now 9 months old and my son who is now 3. Both my children love going to her home and my son does not want to leave which is a good sign. He enjoys all the education games and activities Trina provides for the children in her home.
Trina is one in a million and the only childminder I would have look after my children. I am so happy to have found her.

We are so glad we found Trina, the positive reviews on this site are to be believed. We were in the process of moving house when we contacted Trina, and she was very understanding with the uncertainties that come along with moving to a new area.
Our little girl was 13 months when she started, and she had the typical separation anxiety at the beginning along with two molars cutting through at once. Trina did a marvellous job of settling in our child and it is safe to say she loves going now! The children do lots of different activities during the day, and our daughter is always clean, well fed and happy when we pick her up. We were pleased that Trina was open to using reusable nappies and wipes and fitted them perfectly from the start!
We will really miss you Trina, thank you for everything!

Trina had been taking care of our two sons for the past 6 years. We were lucky to find her when our oldest son was 1 and we never looked back. When we had our youngest, Trina was an obvious choice.
She is so warm, smiley and always with a positive attitude, children warm to her really fast. She has an extensive knowledge of child development and continues to expand on this during her evening classes and webinars. I admire her energy and positivity.
We have always felt that she took time to get to know our boys personally, as individuals and adapted her days to ensure they settle in well. No need to say that it took no time at all for them to feel safe there, us too.
She follows EYFS when planning activities and ensures that they are fun and exciting, yet educational. She takes children out for day trips and cooks healthy meals. Her garden is an outdoor heaven, our son still talks about the bouncy castle she once hired for the children.
Both of our sons are now in the school settings but she is still very flexible with ad hoc childcare, babysitting and weekends. During the lockdown, she was our rock. She followed all government guidance but somehow managed to make it stress free for us and children.
She communicates promptly any feedback or concerns and keeps the record of the learning progress for each child. She follows the routine of each child and builds a great rapport with all parents. She is professional but also very friendly and warm. Her positivity and calmness really stand out and I think that is the reason children love her.
We really cannot recommend her highly enough. She is an absolute star.

My 2 girls (10 months and 4) have been going to Trina since the start of the year, when our previous childminder had to shut due to Covid. We were getting overwhelmed with work and desperately needed someone to help. We were inundated with replies when I posted my request but I am 100% convinced I chose the best option!
She lives in a nice quiet area, with plenty of parking space right near her house for dropoffs and pickups.
Both girls have settled so well there, even though the youngest had barely seen anyone other than immediate family when she started going. Dropping her off she is so excited to see Trina, and I know both are really well looked after there. My oldest has come on so well with her writing, numbers and letters since going there and they go on lots of outings to various parks, to feed the ducks etc. The older children do a large variety of different activities and crafts when there, and I know now things are starting to reopen she has a lot more fun trips planned.
She has also been really flexible when we’ve needed to swap hours around and even willing to work bank holidays if needed!
We’re so happy we chose Trina to look after the girls and I know they’ll both miss her when they stop going.

I met Trina post-lockdown. I was completely frazzled, everything was up in the air and we were in urgent need for childcare... Trina saved the day!
The first thing you’ll note about Trina is how calm and caring she is. The kids just gravitated towards her and I’ve not had one day where they’ve not wanted to go (my 3 yo used to scream at nursery drop off). Even at weekends they want to go there!
They have daily adventures and very well structured days. They come back exhausted and full of happiness.
Parking is great. There is alternative routes to drive to the house, so traffic isn’t a problem.
I couldn’t recommend Trina enough... 5 stars doesn’t do her justice!

We’ve known Trina since last September when she started looking after our, at the time 8 months old, son.
As he was very little we were quite concerned he would have had difficulties settling in. Trina’s experience kindness and patience were crucial to ensure he adapted well to the new settings.
Our little one bonded very well with her since the beginning and developed in a crucial period of his formation.
She has always been in touch and kept us informed on how he was getting on.
We do not hesitate to recommend Trina to other parents looking for a childminder and we thank her very much for the care she’s given to our son.
