My Requirements

From September 2023 we are looking for a friendly, fun and responsible babysitter to join us, term times on Tuesdays from 5pm until 7.30pm.
We both work full time and the role will require collection of our youngest child from St Peter's School (near the top of Stanmore Lane) after school club, and on occasions collection of our older children who are at secondary school from any clubs there.

On return home, making dinner - either heating up a batch cooked meal or making something simple and supervising bath for 7 year old and ensuring he is ready for bed. On occasions duties may include transporting 13 year old to Athletics at 7pm.

There will days when I am working from home; the study is self contained at the top of the property.

There will also the opportunity for additional hours on occasional Mondays again from the same times: 5pm to 7.30pm, term times only.


Own car and clean driving licence essential.

Non smoker essential.

Happy to consider applications from those without any formal childcare qualifications, e.g. students, subject to satisfactory references.
Our previous babysitter was a student at Winchester University and the role fitted well around her studies; we were also able to be flexible if she was not able to make certain weeks due to other commitments.
We pay a competitive hourly rate and pay mileage at 0.45p/mile from school to our home, and to any activities.

The most important thing is someone who has a genuine interest in working with children, is flexible with a can do attitude and likes to have fun!
