Here is a bit about me and what I have to offer!
I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher with 9 years of experience in schools settings. I have recently moved back to the UK since teaching at an outstanding private International School in Tokyo, Japan. I am UK qualified and have worked in excellent state maintained schools in England, aiding me with a wealth of experience and knowledge in teaching through the National Curriculum.
Due to my experience, I can not only offer childcare, but fantastic learning sessions for your children in any subject areas of the curriculum you might think your children enjoy or perhaps need developing in further.
I believe in a fun child-lead approach to teaching which supports curiosity, perseverance, autonomy and collaboration. Sessions are exciting and are sure to capture your children's love of learning. I have worked throughout the pandemic in my primary teacher role and so have had experience in the catch up curriculum, making my lessons adaptable for families.
I particularly have a lot of experience in KS1 and excellent knowledge in the core areas of the curriculum such as literacy, maths and phonics.

My Experience
Alongside my passion of primary teaching, I have also previously been a child-minder for a year with two different families; both with children ranging in the ages of 3-11.
A few years prior to my teacher training at Brighton University, I worked at a nursery, which has given me experience with babies and toddlers. This means I am able to change, put to sleep, feed and generally care for young children- making me adaptable to any age range.
Also, I have lots of experience working with children 1:1 in private tutoring. Having just left my post at my school in Tokyo, I am up to date with the current curriculum and love to work in smaller groups with children focusing on bringing interest and passion to subjects, specifically nurturing children's learning journeys.
I am happy to provide references from schools, tutoring, child minding and nursery.
