My Summary
About Me
Hi, my names Tara and i run Tara's Childminding located in Harrow Weald. I am an OFSTED registered childminder rated 'GOOD'. I look after children from the ages of 0-11years, my hours are from 7am-late evenings (before 7am is also possible), seven days of the week.
My Experience
I have been married for 25 years and have 3 children myself aged 23,18 and 12. My husband fully supports me and loves having the children around, he is fully CRB checked and works at Heathrow airport. My eldest daughter received a 2:1 in her BSc from King's College London and is currently studying Medicine. My second daughter is currently doing her A-levels and will go onto study Law next year. My son is currently in year 8 and will hopefully follow in his sister's footsteps! Since my Children are growing up I have realised how much i cherish my time with kids and really love taking care of them to the best of my ability.
I believe that raising a child with love and care helps them grow as an individual with good morals and self confidence. At my house i provide a friendly, encouraging enviroment where children can be themselves and immensely enjoy the time they are with me. We (my self and my assistant) take the kids on regular outings to the local park, garden centres, libraries and children's play centres.
we celebrate all national holiday's (christmas, easter, halloween) with fun activities for the children e.g. christmas parties and easter egg hunts! We provide healthy breakfasts and lunches everyday, catering for the parent's needs.

My daughter has been going to Tara since 10mths old (past 7mths), the way she has settled with Tara is something that every parent would be very happy to see. Every morning my daughter is so happy to go and the moment I start dressing her up she says ‘bye’, this shows that she is so comfortable with Tara and wants to go to her.
Her learning has been great in the last couple of months. She sings, dances and has been picking up so many new things as she keeps surprising us every time.
Tara has been very good and caring as a childminder that we have not had any issues till now. My daughter is always fed fully and has never been hungry after she is back home. As parents, we are very happy and satisfied the way our kid is looked after.
My daughter went to Tara's home 5 days a week since she was 11 months old. She went there until she was almost 3 years old. Every morning my daughter would close the door when she goes to Tara's place saying bye to me and she's the same happy girl when I go to pick her in the evening. She take care of the kids as if they were her own. She's the one who initiated potty training for my daughter even without us asking her to do so and she's fully potty trained by 3 years old.
Her assistants and Tara is great at their job and as parents, your expectation when you leave your child at a nursery or day care is for them to stay happy and safe and I can say that for those 2 years my daughter attended the day care, she received exactly that.
My son has been attending Ms Dias Childmimding since last year. From the first day that he had started still till now, I am very pleased with his care. He has learnt SO much since attending there.
Whenever Tara opens the door to us, she always has such a big friendly smile on her face. It makes us very welcome. She goes above and beyond. I love the food he has to eat and the setting is extremely clean.
She caters for my son and ALWAYS gives me feedback on how he has been. We work together to help him grow. This is a skill that Tara has and If it wasnt for her and her wonderful staff, my son wouldnt be as happy as he is going there everyday. Tara is very passionate about what she does and I will continue to take my son there on his days. Thank you Tara. X
As a parent you know your child and off course you want what is best for him or her, so when I took my 7 month old son to this childminder I thought he would be cared for properly. This was not the case. Dont get me wrong it was not all bad but two things set alarms Bella ringing, firstly there was an incident that made me realise how unprofessional the childminder was , she was meant to look after my baby at 9am however she sent me a TEXT MESSAGE at almost 8PM to say she's gone to Brighton for an emergency. At that time of evening there is no one to inform at either mine or my husband's job and the fact that she did not even attempt to call us was very disconcerting. I couldn't understand this, as she doesn't work on her own she has an assistant and a manager.
The second straw was the door being opened by yet another assistant when I went to drop my son off, this is someone else I never met or knew about, prior to that I was greeted by the manager which left me confused, didn't know a self employed childminder required a manager.
The last thing was the biggest disappointment, Ms Dias told my husband when he collected our son one evening that he didn't like the pouch of lamb hotpot that we packed and he didn't want to drink his milk either, what we found shook us to the core; we placed the pouch in the fridge to use for another day and made fresh food for our son, that evening he seemed very hungry but we didn't think too much until we decided to use what we thought was an already opened pouch, only to find we cracked the seal for the first time so for 5 hrs our baby had nothing to eat. This lady did not even open the food we bought but had the nerve to say he didn't really want to eat??? Seriously??? Well he is now with someone who doesn't have a who room full of kids and she actually has time for our son.

Hi, sorry to hear you're upset with my services. However I must tell you that firstly, i had to go to Brighton for my daughter who had an emergency, all of the other parents (whom i sent the same message to) understood that above all else i had to cater to my own daughter that evening and that i am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. As a childminder I have assistants however they are not able to work without my supervision for a whole day, hence i had to close the daycare for that day.
Furthermore, the day that you met my new assistant was unfortunate as you only came once a week (1pm-6pm) and at that moment i was in the loo at the time you came. Also, once i came out of the loo and I took the child personally and tried to introduce the new assistant to you yet you refused.
Regarding the food, this is untrue im afraid; i opened the hotpot and tried to feed him several times and he refused to eat (whilst crying) which i informed you of. How it remained unopened i have no idea?? he did not remain hungry however, i gave him milk and baby biscuits which he ate fine. May i just add that the child was brought to me at 1pm without being fed continuously too.
I have many children in my care that are happily fed and lovingly looked after by me and my wonderful assistants.
i would be happy to give any references from my other parents if you so wish.
best wishes for the future.
Tara and Shyama are amazing! My 2 years old son has settled with them within few days. He loves going to Tara's place and play with his friends. He loves everything what Tara and Shyama cook. He also started to eat fruits and yoghurt there. He speaks very well even he is only 2 years 3 months old. Counting and knows lots of words.
I've never met this dedicated and lovely people like Tara, her family and Shyama. We can't be thankful enough for them for what they've done for our child. Loving him as their own one. Such a same we had to leave them because we've moved away. Thank you for everything. You all will be truly missed.
Highly recommended childminder service.
