About Me
Hi, we live on the Nork side of banstead. I am 47 years old, I am married to my husband Neil and we are so lucky enough to have 3 beautiful boys aged 27 years, 16 years & 11 years old. My eldest Connor is a qualified carpenter & works mainly around London. My 16 year old Joseph attends Reigate collage & my 11 year old Theo is in year 7 at The Beacon School. We also have a pet chihuahua, she is 11 years & great with children & adults, all her vacations are up to date & we also have a young cat called Bluey. I started childminding in June 2018. As a mother & a childminder, I offer children a loving home from home environment we are a loving, caring family. As a mother to 3 boys, I have always enjoyed doing all art & craft activities with them & also being fortunate enough to living next to Nork park & the fields we make the most of the outdoor space as often as we can. We have a good size garden & a wide variety of toys. I have been driving for 30 plus years and currently own a 7 seater people carrier.
My Experience
I have looked after children from a young age when I started babysitting as a 15 year old. When I was 17 I got my first job in a children's private day nursery, as a full time nursery assistant. I worked there for 8 years until it was taken over by new management. This being the main reason why I left. I then worked part time hours in a play group for just a year until the play group lost its business and I was made redundant. I then became a registered childminder for 2 years but decided that I wanted to become a fully qualified level 3 nursery nurse. Before I started childminding I worked in a children’s day nursery for 12 years working 30 hours a week, until I decided that after having my 3rd baby, I wanted to reduce my hours to just lunch time cover hours so that I was able to spend more time with him & my other two sons, after doing lunch cover for 3 years I decided that what I really would like to be is a childminder & I can honestly say this is the best decision that I could have made, I only wish I had been brave enough to leave my last employment a long time before, having said that, I wouldn’t have then met the little ones that I am lucky to look after now.

Certificate in child care and education - 30th November 2001
Level 3 Diploma for the children and young people's workforce - 02 April 2012.
Chip (childminding introduction programme) - November 2016
Paediatric first aid course (12hr) - valid until 1st July 2025
Behaviour Management - 1st October 2016
Safe guarding children Refresher - delivered on 6th January 2024
Level 2 food safety hygiene - 1/10/2017
My Availability
Monday - Thursday
7.30am - 6pm two early years spaces available two after schooler’s spaces have just become available from after the February half term. Unfortunately I am not able to offer the government funding hours, although I am on the tax free childcare system which is also by the government.
