About Me
I live in the Colinton Mains/Oxgangs area and mainly offer pre-school care and pick up/drop off to Pentland Primary/Colinton Primary/Oxgangs Primary. I have 2 children of my own, who are 17 and 13. My children and I enjoy the outdoors, arts & crafts and baking.
My Experience
I have completed 2 years of teacher training at Edinburgh University and worked part time at a private nursery in Edinburgh during this time. I then qualified as a fitness instructor which included exercise for children. In this time I volunteered as a dance teacher at a local primary school. I have since worked as a childminder for many different ages, some from as young as 2 months old who grew to become part of our family. All certificates can be viewed at the point that we meet as I do not feel comfortable uploading documents to the website.

We were needing a childminder for our daughter for when she started school. I found Mags and have to say I couldn't be happier with the care our daughter receives. She has been extremely helpful and professional. I was concerned all the change in our daughters life, leaving nursery, starting school and having to settle with someone new would be difficult but Mags has been excellent at reassuring our daughter and ourselves.
I feel really lucky to have found Mags and will happily recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.

We are beyond happy with the care that our daughter received from Mags and her family! My daughter was in Mags care from 5 months to 18 months and we would still be there today had we not made an international move. Mags really made my daughter feel a part of their family and I know she was truly happy there as most of the time she didn't want to leave! Although the time was breif I am forever grateful that my daughter had a second loving family environment at such an important developmental stage in her life!

After our previous childminder had to hand her notice in, I was stuck for childcare for 6 weeks prior to moving house and Mags came to our rescue!! We have two little boys aged 3 and 2 and they just fit in perfectly with Mags and her family also having two boys. She is extremely patient and caring and I have learnt so much from her in her short time looking after our boys. They listen to her which is a god send because they can be little tinkers for me and their dad. The boys are very excited to see her when we pull up to her house shouting Mags at the top of their voice. They always do indoor and outdoor activities to stimulate their minds. I would very strongly recommend Mags with any working family like ours as I know our boys are in very good hands as they are loved and included in her family whilst we are at work. My only dissappointment is that we are moving away from Edinburgh and we will soon be leaving Mags and her family behind. A wonderful childminder that goes the extra mile and accomodates anything your family needs. Mags we will miss you so much!!
