About Me
Welcome to Sunshine Place (where the sun always shines) we love this moto as we feel that whatever the weather the children brighten the day. We work as a team of 3 myself Steph, my mom Lynn and long term friend and previous parent Jackie. We all have our different strengths and this is why we work so well together, I am the organised one who helps children with life skills and progressing their Personal development, I have 2 children 1 who attends Lent Rise School and 1 at Altwood school, I am married to my husband Richard who is a self employed electrician and we have a gorgeous dog Luna who is 2. Lynn is the crazy one who loves nursery rhymes and music time and playing games. Jackie is our craft expert and helps make lovely art & pictures to come home with the children. We are very outdoorsy and love our nature walks going to the park and splashing in puddles. We love what we do and have been so lucky to look after kind caring children. Outside of work we all enjoy family time, going out, reading and shopping.
My Experience
I started in October 2009 I have been looking after children 5 days a week before and after school term time only. I then slowly grew the business and began looking after an 11 month old little boy on a shift pattern. I helped at a Learning hub 2 days a week helping children with their homework and assisting with the creche. Personal experience I have gained from my children who have grown up with the business to the point they get bored at weekends when no one is here. I have 3 Nieces and 2 Nephews who I have spent alot of my time with doing crafts, outings and babysitting. Before becoming a registered childminder I did alot of childcare in the evenings for friends and family which helped me grow my knowledge of looking after children. We attend quarterly forums to keep updated with any changes Ofsted have introduced and we attend a monthly local childminding group which is a great way to share knowledge with others. We have had many twins and siblings through our doors which I feel has helped us in experiencing how all children are different and have their own personalities.

My Availability
Availability changes all the time in childcare so we always encourage you to call first to check. We offer emergency care for ad hoc days or short term weeks. We also offer spaces during the school holidays which include outings and craft activities.

Our two young children (aged 8 months and 3 years) benefit from the excellent care provided by Steph and Lynn. They are provided with a stimulating environment for fun and learning. I could not recommend them more - they are warm, friendly, calm, patient and caring. My 3 year old son complains on days when he is not with them - testiment to the fact that they make the time he is with them enjoyable and fun. I can happily leave my children with Steph and Lynn every day, confident that they are in safe hands and being well looked after. I am so delighted to have found such good quality childcare - thankyou Steph and Lynn!
