About Me

*experienced in childcare*

I am looking for a family where I can slot straight into place

Hi, I'm 28 year old female with a triple distinction level 3 diploma in childcare, learning and development, I'm known to be a kind, caring and very loyal person with a creative side. I am currently deputy manager of a nursery but miss having those bonds and attachments with the children so decided to look back into nannying. Unfortunately, I have not got a full driving licence but I am learning. Despite this I’m happy to take children on public transport as I think it’s a great learning experience. I have around 10 years of experience working with children including being an au pair in Switzerland, looking after a newborn, toddler and preschool children on solo basis. I have a full DBS, first aid trained, safeguarding qualifications and I great knowledge of the EYFS. I know sometimes it’s hard to make the decision between nursery or a nanny/ at home help due to the social aspect of learning and developing however I’m happy to take children to play groups and stay and plays for the children to interact with other peers.

Due to current circumstances I can start from August/ September 2024 and I can also offer references.

My Experience

From my course, I would of completed 800 hours of placement in a range of schools and nurseries between the ages of 0-7 years including a special needs school. I've done babysitting jobs here and there, including my nephew who is autistic, e.g. taking him on days out, but never found a permanent/regular job. Over the summer 2017 I worked part time at a holiday club called funfest, and part time nannying for a family that has two children aged 3 and 12. I also use to help my mum out on a daily basis with looking after foster siblings. Summer 2018 included Nannying for two girls on the autistic spectrum. I have a wide range of experiences working in different childcare environments including, nurseries and schools.

I’ve worked my way through childcare from nursery practitioner to room manger then assistant deputy and deputy manager and would like to take a step back from a nursery setting.

My Qualifications

10 GCSE's including English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Citizenship, Health and Social Care, Art and History. I am a qualified child practitioner with the qualification of BTEC national diploma level 3 in childcare learning and development. Also studied BA criminology at the university of Northampton. Safeguarding and first aid training.

My Availability

I’m available full time with as hoc babysitting available.

I would like to find a family that I could class as my own and work around their schedule
