Hi all, Thankyou for taking your time to look at my profile.
My names Charlotte and I’m 28 years old. I started my childcare journey when I was 16 during works experience and that’s when I knew I wanted to take care of the little humans and support their personalities grow.
I’m looking for a family who wants a nanny full time. Whether that’s with the children all day or I’m happy to do any nursery or school runs however unfortunately I do not drive yet so will need to be in walking distance or I’m happy to take public transport. I’m happy to participate in any housework e.g laundry, cleaning, ironing etc when the children are at school or sleeping.
A little about myself…I’m originally from Bournemouth and moved to Coventry when I was 11. My family live in Cornwall (free holidays :D). I have a cat called Bruce (he absolutely loves attention) and I’m a pretty big super hero fan. I’ve just got into listening Taylor swift so if there is any swifties out there that can teach me some new songs. In terms of education. Play and exploring is the main focus. I love doing activities, any arts and crafts- getting my hands mucky. Going outside to the park, on walks, days out- museums, zoos, swimming.

My Experience
As mentioned above I started my childcare experience volunteering at a school. I then went on to do my level 3 in childcare learning and development where I gained experience supporting in a SEN school. Before leaving to go to university I spent a year and a half working In a nursery, mainly in the toddler room. Whilst at university I participated in working in after school and summer holiday clubs.
Once I left university I was lucky to have the opportunity to work abroad in Switzerland as an au pair (live in nanny) for 10 months between 2019-2020. I came back prematurely unfortunately due to Covid but I got a full time job at a local nurseries where I worked my way from being practitioner to room leader to assistant deputy manager. I was there for nearly 3 years.
I relocated to Birmingham in 2023 and had an opportunity to be a deputy manager at a nursery in jewellery quarter. I loved the role as deputy and it contributed to my experience as eventually I would like to work in child protection/safeguarding for the local government as my end goal. Unfortunately the nursery wasn’t for me and I’ve decided to offer my services as a nanny.
Abit extra experience…my mum was a solo foster carer for 8 years which I supported her as and when I could. I also currently support a young lady with Down’s syndrome during the summer holidays.
