My name is Amber and I am 28.
I live in Exeter, Devon. I recently retrained and am currently working at a Web development company in Exeter as a Junior Web Developer.
I previously worked as a Ofsted registered, self employed nanny/house keeper for three family's in Exeter and the surrounding area I built up a very strong and special relationship with all the families i have worked for. It was very sad when the positions came to an end.
Prior to this positions i worked as a nanny for a family in cullompton who have stayed in touch with and I now have a very strong relationship with the whole family. I cared for three children,5,4,and 2 year old. I worked for this family for nearly2 years and loved every moment of my time with them.
Previous to this nannying position worked as a nanny/housekeeper in Barnstaple, North Devon. I Cared for three children aged 3, 5 and 6 years old. I also helped out around the family home, with the cleaning of the house, washing of the children's clothes and the care of the children's bedrooms. I have a car and I also used this to take the children to preschool and school. The position ended due to a change in the families currcumstances.
In September 2012 to December 2012, i worked as a Nanny/housekeeper in Tiverton. I Cared for three children aged 7, 4 and 1 years old. I also helped out around the family home, with the cleaning of the house, washing of the children's clothes and the care of the children's bedrooms. I also used this to take the little girl to preschool. I really enjoyed my time working with the family, the position ended due to the mother becoming unwell and was no longer able to work as she had to go into hospital.
I worked a couple of years ago now in Spain (Mallorca) having finished a second successful season in the French Alps as a Nanny. Before that I returned from working in Portugal as both a crèche leader and a child care action team member for In2Action, a company that has an internationally renown reputation for delivering first class child care and related activities for prestigious holiday companies such as Tui and Centre Park’s. I am a very smiley and happy person having been informed on many occasions by child care managers that my bubbly personality has had a positive effect, not only on the people I worked with, but with the children and families too. I am very hard working and love to gain from new child care experiences. I love working with, and for, children, as it is my career. Whilst I really enjoy working with babies and toddlers, under the age of five, the most I am also extremely competent in working with and delivering activities and care to children of all ages.
I am both a highly qualified and experienced child carer. I have gained a distinction grade in the BTEC National Diploma; Early Years Care and Education. (The highest mark obtained in my college year.) I have also gained valuable experience of caring for and working with children in a wide range of ages, up to and including teenagers. In addition to my intensive, two year, college course I have worked in a number of nurseries and Infant/primary schools where I gained valuable hands on experience in the needs of children and their “milestones” at different age ranges. From my continuous employment record in the UK I have worked for two private nurseries, the most recent being with the prestigious North Devon Edgehill School where I cared for and helped the under fives to grow and aspire in their development. It was, whilst their, that I was promoted to be in charge of the baby unit. Having first been a key worker for the toddlers I relished the opportunity of taking up responsibility for the baby room for over a year. This I found incredibly rewarding and stimulating seeing the babies grow and develop.
Given the opportunity to continue my child caring career abroad I rose to the challenge. I worked first in Cyprus (as a children’ s rep for Thompson Holidays) where I was in charge of the childrens activities covering the age range of 3months - 12 years. I was subsequently selected, and accepted, by a specialist child care and activity company called In2Action. I undertook further training and worked in Turkey last year as an action team member and crèche nanny. Both in Turkey and more recently in Portugal I undertook both indoor and outdoor children’ s activities, supervised games and organised events such as raft building, canoeing, high ropes and pool related activities. Nanny / housekeeper.
I work for a family in Exeter who have three children. Two girls ages 7 years and 18months and a boy who is 4 years.
1. Septemeber 2014 - March 2015
Nanny/housekeeper Exeter
I worked for a Spanish Family in Exeter. I cared for two boys aged 6 and 10 years old. I worked as a housekeeper/ nanny. The family was living in England as the mother is a Doctor amd worked at Exeter hospital and she brought the boys with her to England to improve their English, which i have been helping them with. This position ended the end of March and they returned to Spain.
2. May 2013 - Positions ending end of August 2014
Nanny/housekeeper / Cullompton, Exeter
I worked as a self employed, Ofsted registered nanny for a lovely family in Cullompton, as a housekeeper/nanny. Sadly this position has to come to an end at the end of August 2014, due to the fact the children will both be going to nursery full time. I care mainly for a little boy who's 3 years old and his sister who is 2 years old. Also during half terms and the school holidays i look after an older boy who 6 years old. I have loved my time working with this family and have built a strong special relationships with all the family. I will be very sad to leave them, but i know we all be keeping in touch and i will still see the children when i can.

My Availability
I am available to work from the beginning of June 2015, as my current position with the family I work for is due to end at this time, I am looking for a full time position only and I am not looking for a position which includes working weekends, however I would be happy to do the odd weekend to help the family out.
I have been working as a nanny for over 4 years and with children for over 10 years.

I have advanced from gaining my distinction grade childcare qualifications at College by demonstrating a determination and commitment to be a highly motivated and proficient child carer and nanny. I responded to my formative coaching as a nanny to rise to the challenges of running the baby unit at a prestigious North Devon nursery (Edgehill). I was commended for my role and proven track record in creating a balanced and nurturing environment, both for the team and the babies within the unit. My success in the caring profession and my supervising position was recognized by an international holiday company (TUI) when they recruited me as an overseas childcare representative. there I received additional training which reinforced my own growing childcare skills and knowledge. Inspired by the experience of working aboard with children and babies, but especially babies, I applied through a competitive selection process to work for my current employer, In2Action Ltd. There my learning rose to new levels both as an activity leader and a crèche leader. With my continuous hands-on childcare experience, and being successful in either a domestic family setting or a wider childcare environment- where I have been responsible for babies and children up to 12 years of age, I have proved to both parents and employers my value and worth.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
I am working as a self employed nanny at present. I like to sit and discuss fees with you (the family), as this can very much depend on the hours and the position that i will be applying for. I currently charge £7.50 per hour to my current family.
