About Me
TUTORING AND BABYSITTING SERVICES:
I am a qualified teacher with QTS currently working in a fantastic SEN school with a class of year 8 and 9 pupils. I am able to offer adapted academic tutoring or life skills learning, as well as tutoring to the National Curriculum up to the end of Key Stage 2 for all children and young people.
Additionally, I offer evening babysitting any evening of the week.
I have 2 children of my own, one secondary aged and one part way through her university adventure, so alongside my working experience, I have personal experience of raising children too.
Tutoring: I am available from 4pm on Thursdays, from 5:30pm on Tuesdays, and from 5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am also available Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9am and 11am.
Babysitting: I am available any evening.
I have a full enhanced DBS and am a driver so can travel to the young person's home for familiarity and security.
My Experience
I have worked with children since leaving school myself, working within a private school with primary aged children, as a childminder caring for children in my home (from 6 months to 8 years) and within a speech and language therapy team (with children under 11 years) in health clinics and primary schools providing support to the children with their speech and language development as well as the children's families. I am now a qualified teacher with QTS.
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Specifically Children and Young Adults).
In 2019 I graduated with a BA Hons degree in Education and Learning and in 2020 I completed my teacher training and gained Qualified Teacher Status. Since securing my teaching qualification I have worked in a SEN school with a class of pupils aged 12-14 years, as well as teaching academic lessons and life skills to other year groups, both primary and secondary. I have supported and taught young people with a range of additional needs including moderate learning difficulties, Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, as well as those with behaviours that challenge.
I have completed various training courses whilst working with children with additional needs to widen my knowledge and skills to be able to provide the best support I can to all children I work with - PECS training (a picture exchange communication system for children with no or limited language), a Makaton Sign Language Course, Intensive Interaction and Play Therapy.
I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education.
I am also a qualified swimming teacher with an STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming.
My Qualifications
I have a clean UK driving licence and my own car. I am a qualified teacher with QTS and hold a BA Hons degree in Education and Learning. I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education.

Tutoring: I am available:
Monday from 5pm
Tuesday from 5:30pm
Wednesday from 5pm
Thursday from 4pm
Saturday between 9am and 11am
Sunday between 9am and 11am
I am available term time only at this current time.
Babysitting: I am available any evening.
I am available to tutor or babysit within the areas of Sutton, Carshalton, Coulsdon, Croydon, Morden, Mitcham, Wallington, Epsom, Ewell, Banstead and other areas local to these.
