About Me
I run a childminding setting mainly for under 5s from my home in Hurst Green, having worked in childcare for my whole adult life. The setting is working towards becoming an accredited curiosity approach setting- a modern approach to caring for and educating young children by inspiring them to explore their environment in their own way. My Experience
I have been childminding since 2010. In this time I have cared for children aged 5 months to 14 years, with a range of needs and abilities. I gained my degree via distance learning whilst childminding and so am now qualified with a BA(hons) Early Years. I now care for under school age children and their siblings.

Part-time nanny whilst at college for 2 families. Ages 3-7
Nursery Nurse in a day nursery for 1 year working mainly with 3-5s but also 0-3
Full-time nanny for 6 years. When I left the children were 13, 11, 9 and 6 months. During this role I worked for 1 year part time for my church taking assemblies in local primary schools.
I also have a lot of babysitting experience, have run children's parties and ran the children's work at my church including teaching and large groups and I ran a weekend away for 7-11 year olds.
I have looked after many children with different needs including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Gifted, medical difficulties, allergies etc within these roles and in my own family.
I have cared for other children outside of my family from 2 months up to 14 years including twins.
My children are an 18 year old girl and a 15 year old boy.
Little Foundations has an assistant who has had over 20 years of childcare experience too.

We are open 8-6 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (And breakfast session 7:30-8 at a higher rate) Availability chart shows hours I am open - please enquire for up to date vacancies.

We moved to the area about a year ago and we didn't know anything about the childcare options. We found Sam and she happened to have a spot for our 18 month old and we were so lucky she did! Her communication is impeccable and my little girl has grown leaps and bounds in her setting. She has great local knowledge too and made us feel very welcome in Hurst Green. I would highly recommend!!!

Sam is more than I could ever have hoped for when I put my eldest into her setting 2+ years ago. She nurtures, educates and encourages the children in her care in the most fun ways possible. She goes above and beyond to make sure each child is happy, and both of my children are thriving with her. She takes them on great trips and cooks amazing meals - it’s like a home from home for them (but with more nourishing food!). She also communicates brilliantly as well as provides updates as to what the kids are up to throughout the day along with photos. I would 100% recommend Sam.

We have used Sam as a child minder for our Son for over a year and we are incredibly happy and impressed with the professional, caring and fun way that she deals with her business and the children that she child minds. Our little one always looks forward to going to Sam and always comes back full of ideas, whether it is new songs he's learnt, paintings he create or cakes he's baked.
We would recommend Sam to anyone and will definitely use her for our second child.

I would Highly recommend Sam to anyone. My children were well looked after in a structured and happy family environment. I got great feedback through their development from crawling to walking. Sam works closely within the community, spends time playing games and ensuring fun days out were had and not cost a lot. I felt they were safe, protected and cared for. My kids would go back tomorrow.
