About Me
I am 55 years old and have been chilminding for nearly 23years, I am married and have 2 boys who are 28 and 24 I live in Altofts and have lived here 33 years with my husband. We have a springer spaniel dog which we take for a walk every day at 12.45. I have a large conservatory at the back of the house and this has been turned into my playroom. My hours are 8.00 am till 4.30pm. I work closely with 5 other childminders, we do lots of things together with the children so we are a large group that go out places together, ie, visit playgroups, ball pool once a week, visit the local childrens centre and do craft activities plus visit the local library every thursday for story time and craft activities. In holidays we go out on picnics, visit places of interest, ie wildlife centres, museums, farms, we go to local authority organised sports days at the local park, have train visits. All n all we a fun filled week which all the children enjoy. I am registered for the free 2, 3 and4 year funding.
My Experience
Over the past 24 years I have looked after many children, the younges being 6 months old and the oldest being 12.
My Qualifications
first aid certificate, safeguarding, food hygeine, 23 years childminding experience, I also have lots of qualifications in secretarial work english gcse qualification, however, that is not relevant to my job now.
My Availability
I have 1 x part time place available mon and tues afternoon 1.15 pm to 4.30pm

I found Amanda through this site due to not been happy with my kids previous childminder. I can honestly say that Amanda is an absolute star. I can not fault her or her family or surrondings at all. The toys she has are always clean and modern and she always keeps the kids busy and entertained by either drawing, playing, modelling or trips out! Amandas meals are brilliant,i wish i could stay for lunch somedays!
