About Me
My name is Angela, I live in a 2 bedroomed, 3 storey house in Abram, Wigan with my 2 pet cats Joshi and Luli.
I am level 4 qualified in early years childcare, and I have up to date mandatory training in safeguarding, paediatric first aid, and level 2 food safety, amongst other relevant qualifications.
I am currently in the process of registering an assistant who will be working alongside of me full time from September 2024.
She will be enrolling on paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene training courses in due course and is in the process of applying for an enhanced DBS certificate.
I offer a warm, friendly, home from home environment where children feel safe, nurtured, and happy. I provide a variety of fun, stimulating learning experiences through various toys, equipment and activities both self chosen and adult led, indoors and outdoors which promote all seven areas of children's developmental needs inline with the recommended early years foundation stage framework (EYFS).
I observe and assess each child's development and work very closely with parents/carers to ensure that their children are receiving the best possible care, and experiences to promote all areas of their development, taking into consideration parents' wishes and children's individual needs.
The whole of the ground floor and first floor of my home is used for child minding which comprises of a designated play room, kitchen/utility room, bathroom and enclosed back garden on the ground floor, living room and kitchen on the first floor.
I am registered to look after a maximum of 6 children under 8 years old. However, I only take on 0-5 year olds. I do not cater for school age children. The recommended ratio for under 5's is 1 adult - 3 children, so I will only ever have a maximum of 6 children aged 0-5 years old whilst working with 1 assistant.
My full day fee is £40 per day from 08.00 - 17.00. Fees include breakfast, am and pm snacks, drinks, and wipes. (Packed lunch, nappies, and creams to be provided from home).
Term time only contracts are available if required. Term time only fees are paid pro rata, and based on 38 school weeks, divided by 12 months, charged at £6.50 per hour.
I provide 15 - 30 hours, funded child care for eligible 2, 3 & 4 year olds, with an hourly fee of £5.50 per hour for children who attend longer than their eligible 15 or 30 funded hours.
I also accept the government tax-free payments.

My Experience
I have over 29 years experience in childcare in a variety of settings from private day nurseries, schools, maintained nurseries and child minding.
I have experience of working with children with some special educational, physical and medical needs, including autism, dyslexia, diabetes, severe allergies, epilepsy and chromosome disorders.
My Qualifications
I have a level 4 diploma in child care and education and up to date training in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. I attend frequent training and complete E learning courses to ensure my knowledge is constantly refreshed.

My Fees

Meilani has been with Angela for a few months and it has been an amazing time for her! She can come along way with her speech and social skills also using her dinner utensils. Angela is an amazing child minder and Meilani absolutely loved going it is such a great atmosphere and she comes home with a positive attitude. I cannot recommend her enough! She is so understanding and helps out where needs be. I would recommend her to anyone!

My daughter has been coming to Angela and Andy since she was 8 months old, they have been absolutely fantastic since day one!
She is now 17 months and has come on leaps and bounds. She always has a lovely day whether it's playing outside in their garden, playing in the well equipped play room or going to the park.
Such a lovely family and fantastic setting.
