About Me
Hi, my name is Lucie, I have been a Registered Childminder for eighteen years, and am registered with Ofsted. I am married and have one daughter who is twenty-three. At my last inspection in December 2016, I was graded as Good. I love my job, and have lots of fun caring for babies & children and keeping them safe and happy!
My Experience
I have worked full time for the last eighteen years, caring for children from 3 months to 12 years, and I have worked in the past as a childrens nanny.
I have gained NVQ level 3 in childcare and level 3 in a Quality Assurance Scheme whilst I have been Childminding. I like to offer a home from home atmosphere, where all children are treated as part of the family. I have lots of toys, books and equipment for all ages, and a secure garden for outdoor play . We have lots of fun doing activities such as arts & crafts, singing, baking, growing plants, water play, etc. We go out to lots of places such as parks, playgroups, singing group, also trips to places of interest, farms, ball pools, cinema etc. ( Especially during the school holidays.) We mix with other childminders and their children and often meet up for trips, visits etc. (This sometimes can be useful for backup childcare when required.) I have quiet areas for babies and toddlers to rest and sleep, in cots if required! I try to encourage healthy eating, and provide lots of fresh air & exercise.
My Qualifications
NVQ 3 in Early Years Care & Education
Quality First Level 3
I have been on many courses such as First Aid, Child Protection, Food Hygiene, Behaviour Management, and many more.
My Availability
I take and collect children from Woodside School in Baddesley Ensor.
I offer continuity of care and have cared for several children throughout their years at primary school.
I am always happy to discuss part time or short term care.

Lucie is amazing at what she does, she has been looking after my precious love, Dominic, since July and I can say he truly adores her, he gets so excited seeing her, which is a feat as he doesn't take to strangers straight away but he's loved her from the start. He is always happy when I come to collect him and never wants to leave. Lucie truly treats him like he is one of her own and I love the fact that she adores him as much as me and his dad do. He goes to lots of groups, to soft play, to other childminders houses and also plays with the other bigger children who Lucie looks after school (who love Dominic so much as well!) I truly am a mother who would love to keep her child as close as possible, give up my job and stay in a bubble with my little man, but in lieu of that I am incredibly happy to leave him in Lucie's loving care. We're already planning to send our next baby to Lucie in a few years!
