Thoroughly recommend

Lucy took over my son's childcare after his previous childminder retired from childminding. From the moment my son and I met Lucy I just knew she was the childminder for me. She made us feel so welcome and at home. We have had to deal with childcare throughout covid and lockdowns and Lucy has always kept us up to date with latest guidelines. Lucy is incredibly patient and supportive and willing to work with the parents with certain situations. Communication is excellent using WhatsApp and the baby days App. Lucy regularly takes the children out in the half terms and my son always enjoys his time with her and the other children. I also really like that Lucy works closely with a few other childminders in Caterham allowing my son oppertuntnity to become familiar with other settings and making more friends. Lucy always has lots of fun activities planned and my son especially enjoys baking. I will be sad when he leaves this year before joining school.

Wonderful Childcare

Lucy has been looking after our daughter for 10 months and we are very happy that we found her. She has given us both the peace of mind that we can both work full-time and know that our little girl is in safe hands and learning something new each day. We are kept up-to-date daily with notes, photos and notifications for each day that our daughter attends. Lucy is very flexible and always tries to help if we need to extend our hours or collect our daughter early. They go on lots of visits during the school holidays which has helped to introduce us to some lovely outdoor destinations that we didn't know about before meeting Lucy.

Lucy has provided us with a very detailed report for our daughter's Health Visitor review, which has helped us to keep track of our daughter's progress and helped us to focus on the next set of goals to work towards.

We would absolutely recommend Lucy's setting 100%, and we intend to keep using her setting for as long as possible because she has built a very good relationship with our daughter and provided opportunities for her to learn, socialise and make new friends.

Superb childminder

Lucy started looking after our little boy Tristan full time when he turned 1 in January 2022. We got in touch with her through another childminder. Despite the challenges of securing a space for him during the pandemic, Lucy made the whole process incredibly smooth with FaceTime calls and regular communication. We also felt immediately reassured knowing she has a baby girl who is our son’s age so he would have a playmate.

We saw her setting which is clean, happy and safe and it was a pleasure to meet her own lovely, polite children.

She provides an excellent selection of healthy meals and snacks throughout the day which allows Tristan to try a variety of different foods. She is also really helpful with offering recommendations for items like beakers / car seats etc since she has already tried them with the children.

In terms of day to day activities, she regularly does an adult-led learning activity and meets with her network of childminders where they go on different outings which allows Tristan to socialise with other children, be stimulated and helps his development.

As full time working parents with no family support nearby, we are so grateful to have found Lucy and are very reliant on her as a family. She is very reassuring by going above and beyond with care and being flexible, and daily photos and updates put a smile on our faces. It means that although we’re not there with him, we don’t feel like we’re missing out on any key milestones.

We have seen Tristan really develop from a shy ‘lockdown baby’ into a happy thriving personality and that is testament to the level of care that Lucy provides.

We would highly recommend Lucy to any parent who is looking for childminding services.

Amazing

My little girl started with Lucy when she was just 7 months old and is leaving in the next week to start school. Lucy has been like a second mother to my daughter and she has learnt so much from her. She is extremely attentive, caring and loving. My daughter literally jumps out of bed in the morning to spend the day learning more with Lucy. I am continuously updated throughout the day of progress and the fun things that have happened, with photographs, videos and written updates. Lucy’s setting is very structured and well organised and particularly, during COVID19, Lucy has gone above and beyond to ensure that the setting is safe with continuous cleaning and sanitising. I had no concerns when my daughter returned when she was able to. If I had a choice, I would love to keep my daughter in Lucy’s care until she is 5! Anyone who is lucky enough to get a place with Lucy will find their children/child will be extremely happy. We will miss her very much.

Highly recommend!

I was anxious about taking the plunge and trusting a stranger to take care of my little girl. Lucy exceeded my expectations from the first meeting. She friendly, understanding and flexible. Her home is beautiful and the lay out really lends itself to being a great space for children.
My daughter was 12 months when she started with Lucy. She settled in surprisingly quickly which was a great relief for me. After only a few weeks she was all smiles and waves when I dropped her off!
Lucy takes my daughter to different play groups depending on the day. This really helps with her confidence around new people and satisfies her desire to explore new things!
Lucy uses ‘Baby’s days’ app which is a great tool for her to communicate what’s been happening while she’s had my daughter.. snacks, nappy changes, activities. It’s lovely to see the photos of what they’ve been up to!
I recommend Lucy without reservation. Best decision ever!

Excellent child care

Lucy has been looking after our little girl for just over 2 years now. I, like many mums was very nervous about leaving her with someone who you don’t really know. Lucy put our minds at ease immediately and my daughter did settle in very well and very quickly. Lucy is very accommodating and will work with you in order to make you and your child happy. My daughter loves all the activities that Lucy does with her and she brings home a different story every day. She is very comfortable with Lucy and her home environment which makes us comfortable too. I also really like the fact that Lucy had an app called baby days which allows me to see what my daughter is doing and has been doing throughout the day. One click and I can see where she’s been, what’s she been eating, photos of her day, when she has slept and even how many wet/soild nappies she’s had! It’s really help me know she’s ok. I highly recommend Lucy as she has a real interest and love for the children she looks after and it absolutely shows.

Trustworthy and reliable childminder

Lucy has been looking after our son for about 2 years now. She is trustworthy reliable and experienced childminder. My son loves the dinners that Lucy cooks for him and enjoys the company of Lucy’s children and the little family dog. The environment is child friendly and the garden is quite big.
I can not recommend Lucy’s services highly enough.
