About Me
AWARDED **OUTSTANDING** FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN SUCCESSION (March 2022)
I am a mature lady of 63 years and have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2001. My first assignment being 8 week old twins - after that anything's possible! I also have a newborn grandson and a granddaughter of 15 months who visit the house.
QUALITY CARE is offered within a LOVING FAMILY ENVIRONMENT for ANY ABILITY child and I provide fun activities which cover all aspects of education and development, as regulated by the EYFS and Ofsted. All the meals provided are freshly prepared. I live in a small Close with a private playpark and also have a well equipped, safe garden. I have 2 children (27 & 25 this year), 1 cat who we hardly see, and a very cuddly cockerpoo.
My home is 10 mins walk to BEXLEY COLLEGE, nr to ERITH & BELVEDERE stations & bus routes 99, 229 & 469.
I BECAME REGISTERED (AS DID MANY MORE EXPERIENCED CHILDMINDERS) BEFORE OFSTED REGULATED CHILDMINDERS. BEFORE THIS TIME CHILDMINDERS WERE REGULATED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY, WHERE THEY MADE DBS CHECKS ON MYSELF. THEY HOLD MY DBS CHECK.
My Experience
I have experience of caring for children with VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, HEARING IMPAIRMENT, NEWBORN TWINS, ASD & the use of PECS
In the past, I have:
* Managed a playgroup
* Been a member of the Bexley C'minding Committee
* Have featured in articles in professional childcare magazine
* Been employed by Bexley Council as a Mentor to new childminders
My Qualifications
EXTENSIVE TRAINING in all aspects of childcare & development and in addition, have the following ACCREDITED QUALIFICATIONS:
* LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA in CHILD PSYCHOLOGY
* CACHE LEVEL 3 certificate in CHILDMINDING PRACTICE
* CIEH Award in HEALTH & SAFETY in the Workplace
* CIEH Award in FOOD HYGIENE
Tutored by BEAS & Bexley Language Therapists in the use of PECS for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Worked alongside BEAS (Bexley Early Autism Services)
All training certificates are available for viewing.
On-going training has been arranged through Bexley Council

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
For extra hours beyond funding and non-funded parents, it is £6.50 per hour
PAYMENTS TO ME
All payments are required for the month in advance. Payable on the 1st of the month. This includes additional hours outside the Government Funding allotment for you.
DEPOSIT FOR FUTURE PLACEMENT ( for Contracts signed up to two months prior to commencement of contract)......
A deposit guarantees your child’s future placement. The fee is non-refundable if you decide that you no longer require my services. If for some unforeseen reason, nearer the time, I can no longer fulfil the signed contract, then the fee paid will be refunded to you in full. The deposit is £100 which will contribute towards your first months payment.
For contracts more than two months away, an additional £100 per month will be added.

This childminder is superb! On visiting her the first time, she made us feel at ease and diminished any of our fears about leaving our son with someone other than family. She's very much an Aunty figure and takes all the children she cares for into her home and makes them feel so welcome. She treats all the children the same, is firm but fair, and above all, the children love her to bits! They all give her a kiss goodbye at night and say "Love You"! I would recommend her to anyone without a single doubt.
