The perfect second mummy to our daughter!

Helen has looked after our daughter for the last 2.5 years and I count myself a very luck mummy (and daddy) to have found such a caring, trustworthy and forever-calm person to have looked after her during this time. Helen provides a a warm, family environment with an emphasis on active play and learning. This combination has seen our daughter’s development go from strength to strength, while at the same time ensured she was given close attention, comforted and cared for as she would have been at home. When I returned to work full time she was just a year old and being so little I wasn’t keen on putting her in a formal nursery environment. Instead I wanted something more familial for those early years, while still wanting someone who would encourage her development as she would have had at a private nursery. I got incredibly lucky finding Helen who provides this perfect combination. The last few years have proved she provides the best of both worlds, and is a lovely person to deal with as an adult too which is a fantastic bonus too especially when you are entrusting someone with your most precious little person. I can’t recommend her highly enough we see her and her family as extensions of our own and as our daughter starts state nursery in the next few days we will be sad to say goodbye. We will however know that our daughter’s happiness and development while we were away at work the last few years was always in safe hands! You can’t go wrong with Helen! Outstanding Childcare

My daughter has been with Helen since I returned to work from maternity leave, nearly 2 years ago. My daughter was just 8 months old at the time and Helen made the process of returning so much easier by sending me regular picture messages so I could see what fun the children were up to (I still receive photos on an almost daily basis!).

The children attend regular social groups and have always got activities planned, be it a walk in the woods to learn about nature, or a bus ride to the market to choose thier fresh fruit for the week. My daughter is encouraged by Helen to read, write and express her ideas which has allowed her to become a very well rounded little person.

Helen offers a warm and welcoming home environment and offers a vast array of activities (books, toys, crafts) to keep the children stimulated and entertained. Helen's own children are very caring and loving and have taught my daughter to share, care and respect others.

Helen is very supportive and I feel i can discuss subjects and behavior of my daughter openly with her. She takes the time at the beginning of each day to find out how my daughter is feeling, if she slept well etc, then at the end of each day how my daughter has been doing, what she has eaten, how long she slept etc.

I could not recommend anyone more suitable than Helen to take care of young children. She is one of the most caring and a genuine people you are likely to meet and you can be certain that your child will be well cared for and will have a lot of fun.

Highly recommend!

Helen has been looking after my little boy, now 15 months old, since he was 9 months old. Going back to work was a tough decision, but it very quickly became apparent that Helen and her family provide a really loving, welcoming home-from-home environment and my son settled in extremely fast. He has been attending now for 6 months and is thriving. I never cease to be amazed at the range and variety of activities Helen thinks up to keep the little ones busy. They are always heading out on trips, enjoying messy play or being creative, and I have a fast growing collection of artwork at home.

Helen keeps me closely posted on how my son is getting on each day, sending pictures, keeping a little diary and is always immediately reachable. This has been hugely important to me as a first time mum going back to work.

Helen's own two children are really delightful, they have been a great influence on my son, encouraging him to crawl, then walk, and now talk. He adores his "big brother and sister" and I love that he gets to interact with such wonderful children every week.

All in all, I only have positive things to say about Helen and her childminding abilities, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.
